Seems that every year when ever they sell laptops or various computer stuff under 1000 bucks people go nuts for them. I've check the specs for these things but non of them are ever fast enough or powerful enough to run stuff like photoshop or after effects or premiere (basically a video editing machine on the go). Anyways I am just wondering about those people who make a mad dash for the door or wait 12 hrs for the damn thing if they ever keep those items even if they are shitty items.. I know none of the laptops are top of the line.

So basically what did you buy on any black friday year that you thought was a good idea but it ended up being a lemon after using it for a while?

Nothing because the most expensive thing I got was a 2 gig Pro Duo for $40. I doubt most of the people who want these computers want them for photoshop- I think they just want to browse the internet.

I bought... Blue Stinger for the Dreamcast. What a shitty game. Oh well, it was $7 so I suppose I'll live.

Yeah, Christmas With The Kranks just wasn't able to run Cakewalk well..it even froze during a routine WSFTP upload, and lord forbid you try to multitask with it. ..

No, I didn't buy any electronics, people need to be honest with themselveS: the TV's suck, the computers are last year's rejects, the cameras are all novice level.

Black Friday is all about media and small items.

waited in line at best buy last year at 3 AM for a tv or a computer and the only thing i managed to get was a video card and a couple dvd players. video card ended up not working (didn't find this out until way afterwards when it was too late) but the panasonic dvd players worked great for my mom and grandma. the problem is that someone smashed the front headlight of my mom's car while we were standing in the 3 hour line at circuit city (second place my friends and i hit up) so any deals we got were basically killed by the $300 headlight. this is the reason why i skipped out on black friday this year.

I bought my daughter a POS mp3 player the last 2 years on BF. The first one worked, was ugly, 32MB and crappy sound. The second one never worked out of the box and they would not take it back.

I usually only go for games and DVD's on BF, although this year I bought my grandmother a cheap $25 DVD player from Target so she has a 2nd one for her bedroom

Usually memory is on sale on Black Friday as well. You can buy a computer with 512 megs of RAM for $200 then upgrade it to 2 gigs for around $100 more. 2 gigs is plenty for whatever you want to do.
