View Full Version : Nothing much, but I nabbed a complete with manuals and boxed JVC X'Eye for $43..
Enh for those that don't know an X'Eye is a system that plays Sega Genesis and Sega CD games.
Actually the full deal was Sega Rally 2 + $43 for the complete X'EYE, 4 scrub genesis games, and 4 OXM demo discs.
I don't know if that deal's too great, but a boxed X'EYE generally goes bonkers on eBay.

A boxed X'Eye is quite a find. Definitely worth what you paid for it (especially considering it came with all of the original documents and packaging).

That's awesome! Bought mine new (many years ago at Best Buy) for $80. Some of the best gaming times I've had was with my JVC and Lunar 2: Eternal Blue. It looked cool back then but now it's so big compared to some of the current systems. Did you also get the original JVC controller?
Yep got the original controller.

I have 2 xeyes, they used to be worth a lot more when saturn collectability was on the rise a few years ago, they have settled down a little, probably because of all the rereleased sega cd stuff+emulation/Lunars,phantasy star, etc.

nice find.
Am also in the midst of trading Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga for a Popful Mail that is barely out of the shrinkwrap. :-P

^^ Do it popfuls worth it.
I saw that auction myself, but according to the seller's definition of three stars for functionality...
"Item was not tested or could only be tested for power. Sold as-is without guarantee."
I'd rather have a system that WORKS. :-P
And yes, I know Popful Mail's definitely worth it. It's worth at least 40, and if it's in the condition the guy says it's in, perhaps even more.

I was just at a competing store and they had the x-eye for 135.00. I knew that was a bit much but I'm kinda jealous they had one. Looks like I need to pick one up now also.

ebay. seriously. The average is 35...
To anyone who knows, what are the advantages of an X'Eye over the Sega CDX, if any? Does the X'Eye support the 32X?

to my knowledge, there's no advantage except to be able to say you have one. And it doesn't support the 32x module. I'd love to come across one someday, that or a CDX.
It does support 32x, but it takes some modifications to do so, which I don't care for.
ebay. seriously. The average is 35... And how many of them came with the box and manuals?
