Well, here's what I noticed:
Good: Pictures, good basic easy to read description, clear terms.
Bad:
You ended on a Saturday, I usually end my auctions on Sundays at roughly 9 eastern.
Flat rate shipping? Just say parcel post, or priority mail, be clear. Also, offer insurance and tracking if you can.
No return policy? That makes people wary.
You ended on the middle of a very busy shopping holiday weekend too.
With your shipping price, the person spent around $50, not bad, but not great either considering the context of all the new consoles that just came out and people probably trying to unload systems to make some extra $ for holiday shopping.
Also, some people just won't buy if your ebay rating is under 90%.
Better luck next time.

Last year, (when the 360 was released), I sold my Xbox with 2 small controllers, and four games. The games were all cheap though like NFL 2K5, NBA 2K5, NHL 2K5, and JSRF + Sega GT. I had a BIN of 149.99 which was probably on the low side but it sold within a few minutes and it was out of my hands the next day.

Wow, I'd feel sick to my stomach if my auction went for that. EB would have gotten you $65.

I think it's probably b/c of timing.
I sold mine over the summer + 4 games (only good one was GTA) + 4 controllers for over $100 plus shipping. My Ebay rep. is about the same as yours 98.6%. I only used a stock photo too before I got a usb cable for my phone to finally take actual pics (making a lot more money).
Sorry...that's definitely a dud of a price to sell it for. :bomb:

I can imagine some of those that would do something to get out of it yet if they were the ones that won this and that was done to them, theyd be on here bitching up a storm about a shitty seller. It takes guts to take your lumps like a big boy and move on, kudos to you.

Very, very bad form. A major d-bag thing to do. I have had a couple great deals fall through because the item magically got lost. Pay for a reserve or take what you get.

"Good working condition"? That tells me nothing. LIKE NEW or Near Mint in the title is more descriptive & gathers more lookers.
I recently sold my Gamecube for $90.
60% of the retail price
Mostly it's the title that grabs people's attention & the first line of the auction.

A refund policy is good to have, but it can also bite you in the butt. I sold a 360 last year with no power cord which was clearly listed in bold in the auction, and the buyer tried to return it b/c there wasn't a power cord..sigh. Now I put in all my auctions if you have questions ask before bidding.

1st - You didn't put the word "system" or "console" in your title, big mistake (almost as bad as telling your prospective customers to go fuck themselves ;).)
2nd - The wrong category really killed it, especially since "system" wasn't in the title.

You should have included the word 'system' in the title also

Another thing is that the picture looks terrible, IMO. You might have been better served going with a stock photo and just offering actual pics by request.

Laugh. Out. Loud.
Ouch. I agree with several others that it has to be the wrong category and no 'system' in the title that killed you. Properly listed BROKEN systems (deck only) are going for more than that.

Other than that the auction doesn't look bad at all. Simply saying 'good working condition' and having a picture is perfectly fine IMO. It's what I do as it's less hassle with the listing. To list a console as mint you better really go over that sucker with a magnifying glass.
I would have maybe gone with a title like
"Xbox console/system COMPLETE w/ 2 games Splinter Cell++"
If you look at your title the only likely searches that would have found it would be people searching for just "Xbox" or "Xbox game" or maybe "Xbox controller" and not in the Systems category. Not good.
