Why in the world would someone want a destroyed system, regardless of "how" it happened? :?
He's gotta pay listing fees, too. lol what a waste.

But free shipping is tempting. I will probably bid if nobody else does. Mmmm, free shipping.

I was thinking the same thing, for 10$ I'm sure I could use it for something...

Damn. I had it in my watch list, but I wasn't paying attention near end-time. Only one bid, so someone got it for $10 (assuming he doesn't back out).

Same here :(
I usually get the little pop up reminders, not this time though.

I saw this on Mythbusters once. They had to rig a CD to a drill bit to get it to explode, and even then they had to really mess with the speed to get it to happen.
It was cool when it did explode, though--first it got all wobbly and then POW! Of course they had a ballistics gel dummy set right next to it, and shards of plastic were buried inches deep in it.

That's a great show. :)

On Mythbusters, the CD shattered but I don't remember the drive exploding. Considering how it looks, I don't think it's possible that it would blow up, maybe just smoke. He should have included the bat that he used to smash it, might be worth 10 for that.
Now you know some parent is going to read that and tell a poor kid that he can't have a PS2 since it will kill them. I can only imagine the reaction of a GS or EB employee on that question.
Mythbusters is great, favorite one is the dead pigs in the Corvette.

I bet the kid put a firework in there to see what would happen.

What a bunch of crap, he would have gotten just as many bids without the long winded story, still gotta wonder what really happened to the system, run over by a car perhaps?

if you look you can tell he drop it. I love the story. it would be sad if he belived it and sadder if the ps2 really did blow up =) honest injun
