A couple things I saw at walmart tonight:
hicks, married cousins, pregnant teens, fat people, old women that have probably spent their entire life working at walmart.... AND... no game deals.

i got rainbow six three with the headset for 23.99 thanks to circuit city. i Price matched the normal rainbow six game (27.99 from a target ad) and brought up the box set (with the mic), and they priced matched that down from the 69.99 marked price.

I went to two Wal-Marts yesterday and found...nothing.
Oh well, maybe one day I'll get lucky like you guys, but my Wal-Marts generally don't have many good deals...even those that seem to be wide-spread.

Wal-Mart is the epitome of 'poor', sadly... it may be a large chain store, but I guess that doesn't equate to 'reasonable prices' or 'clean floors'... it's the only store I know of that has an automatic door that you have to manually push/pull open...

I always have to pinch myself when I see people posting about amazing deals at WalMart. The best I've ever seen is when they sell things for $XX.82 instead of $XX.99. I have never seen so much as one reduction, not even once.

Wal-Mart is evil...and their videogame selection sucks...(in RI at least)

Since we seem to be on a bash wal-mart kick, ill throw in my .02. I use to be an overnight truck unloader/stocker. Every other night or so, right on time at midnight, give or take a few mins, there was this couple that would come in. Some haggard looking lady that had to worked over into her 50's or 60's and if she was younger, REALLY worked over. Dressed in a leather mini which barely held int he cottage cheese ass, leather vest holding in her pudding in tube socks for boobs, high heel boots that went to her knees, topped with a leather biker hat. Him, decked out in all leather from top to bottom. Vest, pants, the tough guy look only he seemed to be the kind of guy that would get his azz kicked by a wet paper sack. Then they had two kids, which we kinda felt bad for because they seemed to suffer with the choices of their parents, assuming leather boy and lady were theirs, they always wore the same clothes each and everytime they came in. Not saying thats all they had but maybe that was their "going out" dress up outfits. So when the kids broke off from their parents we would hook em up with a little something, wether it be a candybar or two or something to munch on while the parents werent around.

The only people that hate Walmart more than you guys are the women who work there; I saw the news about a huge class-action lawsuit...

Whoops....I think I am getting waaaaayy off topic..
sorry..

Is it me or are all retail jobs like this?

Since the start of my working career I have noticed this. Retail stores just seem to attract all forms of strange people.

Kind of makes you wonder about humaity as a whole.

Brevard County Florida? I shop at those same wal-marts....

Actually this is the really great part... right across from the Walmart (by me) is a Target. For reasons God only knows the Target generally attracts a completely different set of shoppers than the Walmart, a much more "presentable" group shall we say. I've tried to figure this out for awhile how this works with the two being directly across the street from one another, but it does. Even the employees are completely different. While Walmart tends to employ the local townee trash, Target prefers to hire students from the nearby college. It's like a bad episode of the twilight zone... There's a Meijer about two miles down the road as well, however, they seem to draw a mix of Walmart/Target customers.

If youve ever worked at wal-marts, youd know that the women there have it much more easier.

Ive also noticed that about my local Wal-Mart and Target that are right next to each other.

I don't know about Wal-Mart, but I know when I was working at OfficeMax that being a male was a definate drawback. Women could make tons of personal phone calls, and/or just sit in the Copymax and talk or do personal projects without getting busted on, while the guys had haul every peice of furniture or carton of paper that was requested and dart around helping everyone... I'm not saying every girl did this, I was very fond of my co-workers and a lot of them were better than most of the managers, but they did get cut breaks... and some exploited it to an unfair level, leaving everyone else to pick up the slack.

Brevard County Florida sounds like a funny place to have a Wal Mart for some reason.

I really like to avoid Wal-Mart when possible. Out of the 3 nearest me, they never have no games clearanced and the accessories that are marked down is a joke. Wal-Mart just sucks a lotta ass, IMO. Give me a Target anyday.

I always look for the hot chick at check out to get in that line. By the time you get close, she isnt very hot and has a ton of make up. Why do these chicks get so done up for their walmart jobs. BY the way selection and prices of video games at both by me suck.

I prefer Target selection-wise, but ultimately, except for games, WalMart is the cheapest for most things. The WM near us is a SuperHumongoGigantoWalMart, with 94 aisles of regular WM stuff and 1/2 a store of groceries including meat and deli. I hate going there, because it's always crowded, not real clean, and that damn speaker is blasting every 30 seconds--but when I save 30-60 bucks off the same stuff at Food Lion or Lowe's, I can put up with a lot.
Don't think I've ever bought a game from WM, though....Have bought a few from Target when they've been on sale.

My town has a Wal-Mart, and a K-Mart. Wal-Mart attracts all the scum, K-Mart attracts noone at all. Neither have good video game deals. I mean, Fantavision for $29.99, what the hell is wrong with this picture.

..much like why are all the chicks at McDonald's pregnant? It's almost a given that at least ONE employee there is expecting...
