CONTEST: When will Driv3r be $20 or less?

I retract my previous thoughts about Driv3r. There are way too many ignorant consumers out there who come to my electronics department and pay for Driv3r in full. One or two people every other day so far, and we have 30 copies for ps2 and 20 for xbox.

Yeah, Div3er will sell millions, because people are idiots. Oneguy at EB, fresh out of the trailer park was buying a Halo Xbox bundle, he wanted Vice City. So he asked how much it is, the clerk said $35 for Vice City only (not including GTA3) used. (this was a while ago). He said wow, "Great Deal, that's cheap!", when right next door, CC had the double pack brand new with both VC and GTA3 on sale for $27,99, I wanted to say something, but I figured I'd stay out of it.

Point of the story, people are fools and will pay anything for a game that is as hyped as driv3r is, just like Matrix sold 3 million copies, so will Driv3r, no matter how buggy it is,

Id give it 3 maybe 4 months until there would be a universal price drop and shortly after that there would be the sale

Universal price drop: within 4-5 months, which is when the world will know the truth because they were too ignorant to listen to the reviews, or just like the Driver series *that* much. As for that I'm saying within a month- month and a half, some blowout sale will occur, and Driv3r will be about 20 bucks.

By early august, at the latest.

I rented it, it's actually not nearly as bad as people say. I'd give it an 8/10, but maybe that's just because I loved the last 2 games :P. I'd say price drop by.... November.

I think it took just about 3 months before Turok hit the trash bins in pricing. The market seems to respond quicker now indicating it won't take any crap pricing. Even Shrek 2 just went to 29.99 this weekend at best buy telling me that price drops will come quicker.

Driver 3 will hit official retail at 30 last week of July and then by Sept 5th weekend, it'll be considered a um, hit title at 20 bucks. Either that or it'll sit next to Turok iin the take me place bin.

I say bestbuy won't drop it until after the $5 coupons. but a $20 sale will be in November, after thanksgiving sale. not before then, places like fye drop stuff cheap the week of release and it never sees the low prices again. bestbuy does it with cds too.

A game that sells like crazy aint gonna be $20 anytime soon. I wouldnt be surprised if it didn't go down until February 2005.

A temporary sale price of $20 would probably be like October.
