I have been going to a few stores everyday before I go to work, and I have had absolutely no luck at all. I would appreciate it if anyone can help me out. Thanks!

If they were up your a$$, you'd know where to find them.

C'mon man! You're doing what everyone else is! Let ME know when you find one.

I feel your pain healer.

I'm a long time console fanatic. And for months said I WOULD NOT buy a PS3 because of the price. Then as launch got closer, I saw a few games... and well, I started caving. ;)

In truth, it only took one day. I don't remember the game, but someone posted some footage and I actually took some time to watch. So before I'd even looked at the Wii seriously, I wanted the PS3. :)

Fortunately, I made my decision BEFORE EB and GS took reserves. UNFORTUNATELY, I was out of town in Chicago on business when they DID start taking reserves. So I figured I was out in the cold.

I did try to get in on many online sales. Tiger Direct, EB, Costco, just to name a few. Each time I never even got to my cart, through I did see the Add button once or twice. ;)

Since then, I've watched the insane prices for a system with about 10 games. Yet I hadn't even played a demo until last night. I played the NBA '07 title, and I must say like most demo games I wasn't impressed. I wonder if defense is so rediculous in the final game. I couldn't box out, and the other guy made so many 3's it made my head spin. I was winning by the time the demo quit each time (seems the demo unit only goes 5 min. or so, so we could never finish a game)... but despite the highly touted 1080p graphics, if the gameplay sucks... why do I care?

I AM excited about Resistance. We had a few used copies at my local store, so I grabbed one. I also bought a copy of Fifth Element as the cheapest Blu-Ray disc available. Then I grabbed a controller, the memory card adapter, and I think I've got all the parts for a good system. (Have a component cable for my PS2, until I buy an HDMI cable.)

Long story short... the money grubbers have systems and we don't. Where is the logic in that? Probably about as logical as delivering promises you can't keep, and botching a launch so badly EVERYONE is pissed, then claiming your happy how things went... despite the shootings, riots, and stupidy.

I still want a system. But when will it happen? Probably not for a good long time.

I did the same thing. Before the PS3 launched I wasn't very excited. I felt like the launch games were very unimpressive, and everything from the launch lineup to the console itself was botched. November 17th came and went by....I still didn't really feel excited about the PS3.

I went to Best Buy on Black Friday to buy a HDTV, Surround Sound System, and a Computer. I didn't know when I went there that I could have bought a PS3. I was the second person in line, and they had 2 consoles, but it was grabbed up before I even knew they had them for sale. This is when the excitement for the PS3 started to kick in.

After I took my Black Friday deals out of the madness and put them in my car. I went back inside Best Buy and had a little 1-on-1 time with the MotorStorm Demo, and I was hyped up like a giddy schoolgirl. The demo was incredibly fun and it looked absolutely amazing.

Now I wished instead of waiting out in the cold 16 hours for the Wii, I would have done it for the PS3.

The thing that has me most hyped is the Yellow Dog Linux OS. It is truly like a computer first, and a video game console second. The stuff that is possible on the PS3 is simply mindblowing. I just wish I could find one that doesn't cost a fortune (Ebay, Classifieds, Craigslist, Amazon).

I hope you find one soon, and I hope I am also as lucky. :)

on your toes boys. unless you have inside info, going to the stores everyday is like playing the lottery. theres much more opportunity online. i bought an ass raping bundle yesterday from gamestop. ill sell off everything i dont want so no harm done. believe it or not, it didnt sell out for at least 30-45 minutes(the 20gb had alot to do with that). so keep your eyes peeled and ye shall find your just reward.

I picked up a small bundle from CircuitCity.com that I never opened after I decided resistance wasn't worth $500+ dollars to play. Was thinking about eBaying it but the prices they go for now, it's not worth possibly getting a chargeback.

Probably going to wind up returning it...

Keep checking stores, or pony up a little extra and snipe one off ebay.

For my money, the 20GB bundle is a BAD idea. Not bad for EVERYONE, just me. The reason? No wireless. As I understand it, Sony does NOT intend to support any external wireless devices through USB connections. So if you don't get a 60GB, your SOL. This is bad for me, as I plan to put my Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 in my living room... well away from the cable modem and wireless router in the bedroom.

So, not only am I looking for one of the most sought after video game consoles on the planet (most for the financial aspect, not gaming)... but I'm looking for the seemingly impossible to find model. I know local stores have had a shipment of the 20GB model, but obviously those 2 didn't last.

Healer... Motostorm? Not familar with that one. How's it play? Does it use the tilt controller and that's why it's fun? I must admit, I've tried the truck game on the Wii... and I wasn't really impressed. Have you played that game so you can compare?

The main reason I'm excited about the PS3 is the games that are coming. I'm a huge Getaway fan, so the new game is HIGH on my list. And then GT and MGS should be incredible if they hold to form. And once developers get going, some GREAT games should be in our future. Word is Resistance is GREAT if you don't COMPARE it to Gears of War. And though I own and love Gears, I think I can accept Resistance for what it is and enjoy it. That's the plan anyway. :)

I was in Toy R Us on monday and they got 4 20GB that day. What happened was 80 20GB were left over after preorder and were redistributed across the nation. The one I went to happen to get 4 of the 80. So check with TRU.

Also, I have a 20GB up for sale, PM me if you are interested.

My friend noticed they had a few at the local Wal-Mart last night.

And nobody was getting trampled to purchase them.

Maybe those of you looking will eventually stumble upon some at your local B&M stores...good luck!

yeah, the market is weird for the ps3. i thought the demand would be stronger since so few units were released. dont get me wrong, the demand is there, but i think the wii is may have s slightly higher demand as this point even though they shipped at least twice as many units. the wii yeilds a better profit margin on ebay as well.

Just tried calling Wal-Mart a couple times over the course of five minutes. The number was busy both times. Granted, the weather here has been SUPER icy, so maybe their phones got knocked out. But maybe it's because people read this article and all started calling about PS3's all at once!!! ;)
