If this is kept up as well as Microsoft has kind of been doing with XBLA Wednesdays, this is good news.

Nifty! I can't seem to connect yet, but I hope to soon... I just want them to release Ocarina of Time and Mario RPG. Those two games on my Wii will make it the best, for me anyway.

I used to have the Sega Channel (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sega_Channel) and I would play Ristar over and over again, back when I was in the 4th Grade.

I'm not going to buy it on this but I would recommend if you've never played it and want a different type of platformer.

I wish they'd put up some good games. That might also boost console sales too, I guess they want to slowly trickle in good games (havent really seen worth the price yet except SM 64) :(

I'm sure once there's a lull of 3-4 weeks with no big game, they'll throw us some good game bones on the VC.

Maybe no good Nintendo games, but I'm digging seeing the stuff from other consoles. Golden Axe? Yep, that rules. Would love to see them do a game from each console each week.

Now where's my Pro Wrestling? My Punch Out? Deveil's Crush? How about Axelay? 8-)

It's sad, but I can see myself grabbing Pro Wrestling and Punch Out again just to play them without having to bother hooking up the NES in the living room.

Bomberman '93 is well worth the 600 points. Considering I got two cards at CC for $14.99, I only paid $4.50 for Bomberman and $6.00 for F-Zero. Good deals in my book.

Nice. Hope they keep up with it.

Still debating if I want to get Columns.

When did CC have the cards for $15? I would have grabbed like 5 of them. 8(

With them releasing them at a 4 to 1 rate compared to MS, I'd say on sheer volume they are kicking MS's ass to the curb. It is going to take some dry spells though to get the good games. They want people to buy the shit games while there is no selection, otherwise people will never buy 'em. I'll probably get Bomberman and Kid Icarus whenever I can find a point card on sale.

Launch week I think. So if you weren't there on launch day you wouldn't get one. I called around on Monday and all were sold out.

Hopefully Super Mario World and Super Mario RPG follow soon...the lack of SNES/N64 sucks though.

They actually did have them on their online store almost all week and there was free shipping if you were over $25 bucks.

You can get them for $17.99 at Best Buy with a GGC, or if your CC lets you use GGC's, you can still get them there for $14.99.

I look forward to about February, I'm guessing, when there should be a lull in Wii releases and the bigger guns of the VC library are shown.

Yay, nothing to spend my money on for another week. Seriously, I want the good games too(see:Earthbound, Paper Mario), but I am so broke that I couldn't even afford a SNES game or two. I know I will spend lots of money buying SNES games for the VC.

agreed.

They should release one new game for each system every monday. I'd be perfectly content with that.

Damn if only 2 out of the 4 games this week wasn't on the sega genesis collection, I would buy them, lol. Anyway I am still waiting for fucking Gunstar Heros. They claimed it would be out by the end of the year, but no signs of it yet, sigh. Can't wait to download some SNES goodies and play them with a controller that replicates the snes layoyt...

Ristar huh? I recondmend this game to people. I've only played the Game Gear version (which had very impressive graphics for a GG title) and it was a lot of fun. I'm going to download the Genesis version.

I believe you will start seeing the really heavy hitters when it comes time to boost console sales a bit, not when they can't keep them on the shelves! ;)
