Back in August, I sold an N64 game on ebay. The buyer paid with Paypal and I mailed him the game, which he received. End of transaction, right? Apparently not. A few days ago, I got an email from Paypal saying I had received a chargeback for his payment. Now my account is in the negative(I only use it for ebay buying and selling). It says the case is under review, so what should I do? If I were to receive a Paypal payment while it is under review, would they use that to make up for the negative balance, or would they wait until the case is resolved? Any advice is appreciated.

if you can confirm that he received it, meaning if you have a dc # that shows his game was successfully delivered, then you're likely to win the dispute and not have to forfeit any money.
have you talked to the buyer? you need to find out why he initiated the chargeback.

I have talked to him and he says he did receive it. However, he says his grandma filed it because someone had gotten ahold of his card and made unauthorized purchases with it. She didn't know what was his and what wasn't, so she cancelled all the charges.

Unless his grandma is a joint-account holder with him of that card, she can't cancel shit without his approval/knowledge...this sounds EXTREMELY fishy to me.
If he's telling the truth, then he should have no problem with you suggesting that he contact paypal and clear the transaction on his end. Hope it all works out for you.

So much for Paypal protection.
You delivery the game.
You have DC proof.
And still they screw you.
