Not sure if this is old news or not, but the manager at my local EB said he just cut the price on 1080 today to $9.99. Since I wasn't able to grab one from EBgames.com when they were that price I snagged one today.

Just bought 1080 Avalanche $9.99. I had called a couple of EB`s in NY and the gave me different prices for the game. Just have them scan them. It should be $9.99 everywhere. The store I bought it from quoted me 49.99 on the phone. I said just hold it for me... His face was like WHAT, when he saw the real price...

I picked up 2 copies of 1080 last night. You should have seen the clerk's face when the packaging read $49.99 and the register showed them for $9.99 each!! At $10, there is no reason NOT to pick up 1080 for some online play using WarpPipe. Shoot, buy copies for your friends.

the only mail in rebate that I found was the buy 2 games, get a $10 EB Voucher. It was a small square piece of paper.

yeah, i went to an eb in a mall that ive never been to before today....and the lady was really cool until i asked for two and said that it should ring up as 9.99....she then said, "huh?, show me"....so i went back and got hte box off of the shelf and she got this huge attitude out of nowhere, like im the one who "supposedly" labelled it wrong...she then told me, "well, im only selling you one copy...someone screwed up on the price stickers and i have to honor you the price for one copy because of that"...i then said that i had just bought a copy a couple days ago at a different eb for 9.99...she then said that i must've been mistaken...she acted like the difference was coming out of her pocket...stupid bitch

I got a brand new non display one for $10, and it was even marked as $9.99. The guys there were cool about it, too.

I also brought Unreal Tournament and Tetris/Clone Wars to trade and ended up getting $20 towards halo 2 for them, so if you have any crappy/real cheap(Tetris was .01) games, you can get $20 towards certain upcoming games, not a bad deal.

I actually saw a list of the price changes for 6/30 at my local EB that changed the price back to $49.99. I had been there on the 29th, and it was indeed marked at $9.99...then yesterday (the 1st) I decided that I needed to snag it for a FYE trade-in, stopped to grab it and alas, it had changed. I chatted with the clerk briefly and he was nice enough to look it up for me in his memo's - so I would find it safe to assume it's a dead deal *sigh*

I was at Target the other day to pick up La Pucelle, and noticed 1080:A was marked $29.99 there. An odd price drop, considering that EB bumped it back up to $50 and no one else has it any cheaper. Might want to keep an eye on a possible clearance, for those of you that missed out on the $10 deal.
