So, when will PS3's be readily available?

Ok, I was thinking about getting a Wii with my GameRush credit, but now I'm leaning towards a PS3....since the whole control thing with the Wii seems odd.

Anyways, as I said, I have credit at GameRush, so I will have to wait until PS3's are READILY available.

So, has Sony or anyone hinted at when you can walk into a store and actually buy a PS3 without having to wake up at 3am to wait for it?

March 14th 2007. My Crystal Ball is pretty damn accurate. March 19th is when Wii will sell its 5 millionth console. March 17th is the day when PS3 sells its 25th console! Pretty damn good IMO.

Ok, thanks for nothing...I was just curious if Sony put out numbers yet. I know the 360 seemed to be available sometime after the holiday season.

no sooner than march. 360s were still marked up as late as the february after it came out.

Yeah, the 360 was hard to find until March or April, and even then you couldn't always walk into a store and find one like you can now. I'd guess the same time frame, although since Sony does actually make hardware for a living, and is delaying the European launch, it could be sooner.

The time will fly by though. Just pick up some great CAG deals on the other systems until then :)

Yeah, I'm in no hurry....I'm just baffled by companies when they cannot roll-out enough consoles to meet demand. Seems like a bad business plan. But who am I to judge.

Sony this year and Microsoft last year were rushing to meet Christmas. There's part of me that's ticked off about that, but if they need to for business reasons, then they need to, unfortunately. As someone on the Next Generation podcast said, Sony can't afford to lose mindshare by not launching this year (and likewise Microsoft launching last year probably really helped them).

The bestuy's in SF have gotten them in 3 days in a row. I'd say hit them up early. The opening of bestbuy on geary and masonic are holding them till dec 8. They have 60 gb and 20 gb available. Giving everyone a heads up.
