Does anyone remember chat room bots???

Does anyone remember when AOL was at the start of it's popularity (I said popularity, I didn't say it was still good :P) and things were still pretty new and they had lots of (shady) programs that were used in chatrooms. Punters were popular. Scramblers were very fun :D

But does anyone remember playing FFE? I had so much fun with that game. Especially when you played, and the match was over and it showed all the results in the chatroom and even played the damn music from the ending fight of FF!! God, that was so much fun.

I also remember a ton of battle bots. I don't remember the names of them. But some of them would be like Pokemon vs Sailor Moon. Ranma 1/2 vs DBZ. I remember some where SOOO insane that they had a litle bit of EVERYONE. E-V-E-R-Y-O-N-E. FF characters, Sailor Moon characters, Pokemon, WWF wrestlers, Mario, and other characters I never heard of (probably RPG and Anime)

They were some good times. :)

I remember back in '94 when I first got into IRC, not "Chat rooms", they had stupid bartending bots and everytime you'd enter a channel you'd have a bot say someting like:

I do remember.

I used to use "Progs" as they were called back then. I always liked using "Macros" and what not. I was young. :(
