So will the Japanese Remote Control work with a US system?

While searching on this topic last night, I read that like the games... the accessories aren't region coded. So the theory is you can import the remote control.

Obviously, I'm interested because there has been no word of a US release, and Gamestop and EB are NOT taking pre-orders. :(

Just wish I'd waited to pre-order MotorStorm. Could have used one of the holiday coupons and ordered the game and remote at the same time... saving even more $$$. :)
