Do new 360s already come with the 2 big system updates installed???

hello everyone, i'm hoping someone can help me with this q. i'm looking to buying a new 360 for this xmas and i'm wondering if the newest assembled systems come already updated with the two big system updates? i'm hoping they do b/c i'm not going to have online readily available, but i would like to have the additional functionality and some of the bugs worked out. otherwise i would have to take it to my girfriends house and update it there. has anyone just bought a system and know if they did or did not have to update it the first time they took it online?

Mine had a September manufacture date and I still had to update.

Unless it was made maybe last week, you will probably need to update. There are multiple updates for multiple games as well.

I can't imagine trying to play my 360 offline for more than a day.

Are they available online at Microsoft's site?

I know the BC updates show up on Xbox.com but I haven't heard of the dashboard updates.
