Light Gun question - already answered thanks!

I have 2 Nyko Cobra light guns for Saturn/PSX, and I also have Virtua Cop (Saturn) and Time Crisis (PSX). The problem is, the guns won't respond at all when I point them at the screen, meaning I can't get into the menu to calibrate the gun. I feel like this is because they haven't been used for so long. I am also having the same problem with my Mad Catz light gun for HOTD III (Xbox). I know the guns at least functions, because if I wave them all around, I'm sometimes able to go down or up one selection on the menu.

Is there anyway that I can save my light gun?

Light Guns use Tube screens ( Like a VGA monitor or your regular tv ) that sends info to the game unit in a flash. It is like the screen has markers and where the gun hits or moves the light appears.

The Light gun has been used with the Atari and the obvious arcades which uses tube screens.

More recent screens is not using the same technolgy and will not work with light guns.
