Im wondering if there are any deals for GiftCards to either of these.
I just bought a zune and i love it but i want to get "LEGAL" music for it it makes it better and less time consuming also because then it comes with all the correct album info also.

So if there are any deals please Post.

PS does the music from itunes work on the zune? IDK this is basically my first Good mp3 player.

Music bought from itunes will only work if you burn it to a CD and then rip it using the zune software.

hmmm any other ways to get music cheap?
Is Emusic good cus you can download 20 songs for 10 bux thats only 50 cents a song which is decent.

Its better than 99 cents a song lol.

Unless you just want specific songs from the zune marketplace, I would just suggest to buy regular cds when they're on sale and rip them. If you want individual songs go buy an xbox 360 points card from best buy with the gamer gift card to knock it down to $15. I'm pretty sure they are both considered microsoft points and can be used interchangably between 360 and Zune. Plus unlike Apple you can actually download the song again from Microsoft.

How does getting music legally make it better? I could understand if you had a moral issue with it, but if you download music... it's still music. Just use torrents to get full albums, and all the rips will usually be CD quailty.

If you still have a problem the $14.99 a month for unlimited downloads is a pretty damn good deal IMO.

I see it more orderly*like how it looks* album info is all correct and album art is already there.
Thats all i was talkin bout. lol.

I just checked and yes, the microsoft points are the same for 360 and zune. for the $15 card that I mentioned, each song would cost about $0.75 and you can download it later incase you delete it, if I understand correctly.

Also: the Zune software grabs album artwork immediately if it understands what the files are from the tags inside the mp3.

On the question of Emusic, I love Emusic. I've been a member there for a little over a year and it's the best way to get music cheap. But you need to go and check out what they have because unlike Itunes or Napster, etc, it is not for Mainstram music fans. You can get almost any indie alnum you want, but if you are looking for major labels, there not there. That's why they promote themselves with the biggest artists on Indie labels. (White Stripes, Cat Power, Tom Waits, Etc.)

Whether ripping music from purchased CDs or dealing with songs acquired from *ahem* "other sources", albums can be tagged with all information including artwork in a matter of seconds. I personally use a program called Tag&Rename that works like a charm. It's a shareware program, I think you can get it from any shareware site (download.com, etc.).

Encode your own CD's.

Even if you listen to game music or J-pop, there's no reason why you shouldn't be encoding real CD's.

And American music gets cheap enough: if you look at the circular ads, you will see most of the new hit CD's for $7 within release weeks.

bump

I picked up a zune myself and was wondering the same thing. 15 bucks a month is a fair deal but I'm not going to be dling that much music and zune marketplace only offers music. There isn't any videos or podcasts yet. Should I just subscribe now?

Also what case did everyone get? I got a DL jacket but I want some protection for the screen. Anyone have a griffin centerstage and how is your battery life so far? Mine doesn't seem to be lasting 2 hours of video.
