One of my favorite cartoons had to have been Mighty Max. Damn that was a great cartoon. It always had a great storyline.

Also, Denver the Last Dinosaur, He-Man, Ninja Turtles and a lot others. What are some of your guys'?

Captain N is probably the only cartoon that I've seen every single episode of. Even when there would be a re-run, me and my brother would watch it everyday.

Do any of you guys remember some of the Nickleodeon cartoons? Like Count Duckula, Belle and Sebastian.

Some of the other shows were Eureka's Castle, that one show about the mannequin in the department store that would come to life, the koala bear cartoon and tons others. Those were some entertaining shows.

Wasn't that a toon that actually had a continued storyline and it was cut off before the story was finished? I don't know how or why I remember this, but I just do.

Yea, Pirates of the Dark Water had a story line something to the affect of... Dark Water was polluting the world, causing people to go crazy, making monsters, killing all living things, etc.. the main character was the son of a pirate of some sort of fame, him along with a few characters and some sort of flying monkey were trying to go around the world and recover these 7 mystical treasures his father hid. When he got all 7, he could destroy the Dark Water and restore the world.

He always fought against a crew of evil pirates that chased him around, trying to get the treasures for themselves.

And if I remember correctly (and its been quite some time) they ended up getting like 5 or 6 treasures before they prematurely ejected that show.

edit - Found some info online, there were 13 treasures, and by the 20th episode (when it was cut off) they had found 8.

reedit - There was also a SNES game that came out, it was terrible.

There were 13 treasures I think and they never finished the whole story. It was a shame since it was really good. I hate when goods shows get axed by corporate decisions. I don't think many cartoons today are that good. Batman Animated was my all time favorite though.

Pirates of Dark Water

Aeon Flux

Two great cartoon series that were unfortunately cancelled!

Aeon Flux lasted for 3 seasons before it was cancelled. That's way more than you'd expect from a show where the main character dying is fairly common.

Cancelled before it's time was The Maxx.

I don't know what it is about his character designs, but I find them compelling. I realize the musculature is awfully deformed, but it's so different than anything else out there that it's interesting to watch. I just wish he'd move away from the overuse of codpieces.

In no particular order, The Simpsons, Futurama, Family Guy, Transformers, Beast Wars, GI Joe, Darkwing Duck, Count Duckula, Duck Tales, Gargoyles, Spiderman of the 90s, X-men, Batman the Animated Series, Batman Beyond, Denver the Last Dinosaur, Old School Johnny Quest, Dino-Riders, The Tick, Legend of Zelda the cartoon, Voltron, Dinosaucers, Pirates of Dark Water. There might be a couple a more, but thats enough now

Robotech, and the Saturday AM Sonic the Hedgehog from ABC. The darker, more serious one where people (well, animals) got turned into robots.

Have you seen the new cartoons lately? (Not the Anime or Simpsons, Southpark, Family Guy, etc) The stuff they have for kids now sucks. I'm glad I'm not growing up with this crap.

I used to think the Super Mario Super Show was awesome, what with Mario being in a cartoon and all. Really the best of both worlds when you're a kid, cartoons and video games. If you want to watch the Super Mario Super Show, you can! At yahooligans tv they have old episodes of the SMSS and also the Legend of Zelda cartoon too.
