I just sold my first video game and I have no idea how to ship it.
Can somebody tell me what to ship it in and where to buy the shipping material?

Also do I just bring it to the post office to get metered postage?

If its a somewhat valuable item (or fragile like a GBA game with box), I use USPS Priority Shipping which costs $4.05 but comes with a free cardboard box if you request one at your local Post Office.

If its a PS2, Xbox, or GC game, you can just get a bubble mailer at Staples or Office Max and mail it First Class. Should cost like $2.50 for everything. And labels you print via PayPal.

Shipping your very first thing I'd just go to the post office. (Although it's going to be absolute hell this time of year.) Be sure to use Delivery Confirmation (green slip) ask at the counter if you can't find the slips and they'll set you up with it.

If you want to print labels from home you'll need to get a scale or estimate the weight. Or if you are shipping Priority you can safely assume a single game is under 1 pound.

If you are thinking "What's Delivery Confirmation?" "Priority?" You better just go to the post office.

I'd recommend 1st class mail in a bubble mailer with Delivery Confirmation. #0 is the perfect size for a single game or DVD. Bubble mailers can run pretty high when you are just buying a couple. Staples is the best place I know of when you have to buy local. You can buy them at the PO, but they charge way too much. You address the bubble mailer just like it's a big envelope.

also try to stay away from the ones that look like the ones they are selling at the post office. I went in last weds and the #$#$#$# said that i was trying to steal the envlope and not pay for it. Another worker heard all the noise and out and told the idoit worker that i come in twice a week and i didnt steal it.
