View Full Version : Any word/rumors of Wii shipments to GameCrazy?

I preordered my Wii through GameCrazy (I knew they wouldn't be as fast as a bigger store, but I do like the 12 free movie rentals and I had some credit piling up there).
The store I frequent hasn't received any since before black Friday.
Any employees there (or more informed customers) have any word on when they'd receive new shipments? I'm 12th in a list of 14 preorders.

None since Black Friday? Wow. Mine's gotten at least twenty in since preorders were taken care of.. it all depends on your district, I guess. All stores should be getting them weekly now, something to the tune of 2 to 5 per shipment. Call around noon to your store today and tomorrow, if they don't get them in tomorrow, they won't be getting any in before Christmas (GC doesnt usually get shipments on Saturday and Sunday)

Good to know...I'll give them a buzz.
I go into the stores about once per week, and all of the employees just look like they're tired of hearing the same questions. At least SOME of their stores are getting in shipments...that's a good sign at least.

Wow, I had a wierd (and very related) experience yesterday. I went to GC to trade in some GBA games (since GR doesn't give the bonus for them + gives crappy values now for many games). They were handing out Wii's when I went in there at 7:30 PM Thursday. And get this, they said they had HAD THEM ALL DAY. No lists or anything - just first come first served.
That is the first time I've been anywhere CLOSE to a retail store that had Wii's actually in stock since I picked up my preordered launch system at EB. Note that this is an area that 2 weeks ago when all those stores had the Sunday AM Wii sales, people lined up well before opening at all those stores - had to be there at least 2-3 hours before, if not more, to get one. People must just overlook Gamecrazy for some reason as a source for these things.
