i am looking for gamecube for days, but i realize i can only find them on ebay. all i found is wii component cable, so does wii component cable work on gamecube too.

Nope, different connections.

The GC component cable is only for video, as it has the R/G/B connection on it. You use the regular composite cable for audio.
The Wii component cable has R/G/B for video + R/L audio in one cable.
