For those complaining about shipping, think about it, check your mail.. its a holiday week. The post office is clearly taking it slow. Today we got 1 piece of mail at my house, some mag for my girlfriend. we normally get 10 pieces of mail every day.

I've even had the old "every other saturday there is ZERO MAIL" trick from the USPS and then 3X the normal load on MONDAY. gee I wonder if the postal carrier is at the bar drinking instead of mailing .... hmmm

The shipping out time I've always found stellar (I'm in Michigan), what's always got to me is how long it takes them to get stuff back. Usually 7-10 days in my experience. 10 business days is absurd for a rental, IF that is the case call customer service, every time I email them I get very satisfactory responses, ive gotten coupons, replaced orders etc..

I wrote before during my last subscription and all I got was "we're trying to enhance service" line, no coupons or anything. It just happened too much for me. If Gamefly ever adds anything on the East Coast I will re-subscribe but the turnaround time was just consistently sluggish during my 2 subscription periods.

I wouldn't pay $30 for PSU. In my opinion its was really terrible. Boring storyline, gameplay gets repetetive real quick, and you have to pay money to play online. Overall I would give this game a 4/10. Its gonna drop in price really quick probably if you're still interested. it was $20 new at Amazon.com awhile ago.

I really dunno. I have two friends in New York, 1 in Ohio, and two others in Virginia, and we all have the EXACT same turnaround. I have no idea why some people have such problems with it and others do not. I started a thread about it on another forum a while back, and most east coasters said they do NOT have problems. I think the people with problems are just more vocal about it (for good reason). I'd love to see them open an east coast center, and I really have no idea why they don't, since they seem to be large enough (see ads and whatnot everywhere for them).

I'm about 2 hours into Legendia and I love it. Keep in mind I hate FF 7 and up and zelda style rpgs though. It's a very happy very non emo story so far. Theres even a musical number about 20 minutes into it. IMO its worth the 14 or whatever they are asking for it.

Just email their customer service - I've delt with them for a couple of minor issues, and while you might have to wait a day or two to get a response - you will get a response. I did a 'keep it' for a game and never got the case/manual one time - they sent me a replacement in short order.

They have a 100% guarantee on their used games, so I don't see why it should be a problem if the disc is in horrible condition.

It is reason like these I will never order from Gamefly again. In all my orders I have placed not one of them were in acceptable condition. About 25% of the time the game did not work properly. It is as if their inspection process includes sand paper in some way. It true that they are very good at allowing you to return games you are not happy with; the return process is cumbersome and is a waste of time. I'm glad others have had success with Gamefly, however I would recommend anyone to stay away.

(BTW "acceptable condition" to me means less than 50% of the disc surface is scratched)

I've purchased around 40 games from Gamefly in the past 2 years. Of those, maybe 8 have been lightly scratched or dirty but not to the point where they wouldn't play. The rest were in pristine condition. I had one get lost in the mail (Dead Rising) and after an email to them, I got a quick response and a credit to my account. In contrast, most of the used games I've gotten online from ebay and ebgames, or from blockbuster were in much worse condition. Gamefly's delivery isn't overnight like some people on here seem to expect; they usually get to me in around 3 to 5 business days. All I can say is I'll stick with them until their performance level drops off, but right now I'm very happy with them and free shipping only sweetens the pot.

Then today I got another e-mail from FedEx with a FedEx tracking code from Gamefly and a weight of 3 pounds. Does that mean GF actually sat on all of the games to send out in one shipment that went today? I don't have a big problem with that, but (1) why tell me they are shipping one by one all throughout the past week and (2) 9 days to get the shipment out? Pretty slow, especially for a company that deals with turning shipments around quickly as their entire business model.

poor gamefly, i feel for them. its almost like they are suffering from their own success. I mean, the more customers they get, the more they drift away form the hardcore crowd that really takes care of their discs, which means the more likely they are to have 10 year olds chew on the disks and then mail them back unplayable :/

Dont feel bad for them. A major company such as GameFly should really RESURFACE the discs before they sell them so it wont matter if some stupid kid chews on the disc or not, it'll still look perfect and no one will notice anything.

i read on another site few years back gamefly only has like a handful of people working for them. Might be a family company thing and dont have time to really fix up disc once they get them back. I would love to get a game at a place like gamefly or Blockbuster online or netflix. I think it would be fun pulling items like games and movies all day and would be an easy job.

I was with gamefly off and on now since 2004 and sometimes they kick ass while others i cant stand them. I cant remember the last time i got a game fast returned since i rejoined them in Nov 2006. The only reason why i stay with gamefly is

1. Ds games (noone carries ds games around here for rent and wont spend 30 bucks to try out a game) There probally been 5 games in the past 2 months that i return the day after getting it

2. 1 game at a time for 10 bucks or 2 games for 16. you cant pass that us (that is after the 5 buck brightpoint discount)... Now my Q in brightpoint has been empty for around 2 weeks and my last discount will be in the march month. I think if i dont get the discount anymore i will leave gamefly once again.

i doubt gamefly is getting tons of new members. If you saw a massive ground of newbies coming you would of saw it around NOV 2004 when mcdonalds was giving out free months of gamefly. I ended up with 18 free months of gamefly back then)

gamefly really hasnt had a massive promo since summer 2005 (bics free month promo).

What is real sad is when I first joined in 2004 they said that a East coast shipping place would come in summer 2005. When i called them up about a game not working last month they told me that all plans for a East cost shipping center was dropped and they will remain only at 1 shipping hub but will hope for more FAST RETURNS in the future.
