As stated, it's the "classic plastic" sale. Any three games for NES, SNES, Genesis, GB, GBC, GG, PS1, Dreamcast, or N64 for $10.

It's too bad GC never runs trade-in promos (like EB or GR with bonus credit on game trades - not system deals). I'm actually back to trading at GC a bit right now because GR is pissing me off with their utter lack of getting anything in that I preorder (and no Wii stuff at all yet). Getting $10 extra credit on 3 games would have been very nice ;).

I do have a 20% bonus credit (when trading 3 or more games) coupon from a system purchase. I'm going to try to get one semi-large trade done with that. Scorch, do those coupons stack with MVP as well? It says nothing about it on the coupon. I also have that $5 off controller coupon - I should have used that on a Nunchuk because they had them there yesterday. They probably sold them all today though.

For the guy who said Blockbuster wanted a membership card when buying a game - it isn't required there either for buying things. It is just a knee-jerk reflex they always have. The advantage for you is that if you lose your receipt and need to return it, the purchase is in your account history. And I like to have them record my purchases so they see how much I actually spend there (as I have racked up tons of credit through their trade-in promos and want to show them I at least spend it all there as well).

it depends on the manager and/or district manager for policies on price match. for instance in our san diego district there are some price matching rules such as:

- gamestop, eb, planet x (anything else gamestop owns), gamerush (if we had one) pricematches only.
- we have to call to verify the price.
- we don't match deals like buy 2 get 1 free. or buy a system and get a free game. stuff like that. we only match the price of an actual product.

i've heard of other stores only allowing pricematches if you have the ad and only one item per transaction. it really depends on the manager. so i guess what im saying is YMMV on game crazy price matcching policies.

in general i believe every game crazy is supposed to do pricematches.

uhh.. not sure what you're looking for. They're priced five to ten dollars less than retail (for example.. Elite Beat Agents $29.99 new/$19.99 used, $17.99 with MVP card). Most used DS games will qualify for the 24.99 and under thing.

Then you talked to a dumbass employee. They're on sale. When they scan, they come up the sale price. It's nationwide. The person you talked to is probably just coming back in and just looked over on the wall. Paperwork printed out this morning, the sale prices are in the computer. Even if it says $59.99 for Vegas on the wall, when it scans, it scans at 39.99.

I'm not sure that this is nationwide. I called a local GC that isn't a franchise store, and their prices didn't drop on SC: DA or R6:V. I heard him typing it into the computer over the phone. However, the one franchise location in my area, had the sale prices in the system but sold out when they opened.

so when you scanned the coupon code and a warning popped up saying employees can't use coupons what did you do? I'm guessing you just marked one down to zero.

EDIT: for everyone thats getting denied on the collectors splinter cell ask the manager to see the counter sign that has splinter cell and rainbow six it is the collectors edition and then there is another sign that has the regular SC on it so YES they are both on sale. If it is in the ad and they have a sign for it then they (we) must honor it.

EDIT: for everyone thats getting denied on the collectors splinter cell ask the manager to see the counter sign that has splinter cell and rainbow six it is the collectors edition and then there is another sign that has the regular SC on it so YES they are both on sale. If it is in the ad and they have a sign for it then they (we) must honor it.

I am pretty sure it ends tomorrow. And definitely have them scan it. When I went for R6: Vegas, the shelf said $60. I asked the guy to scan it, and he was shocked that it was $40.

price matching at gamestop is so YMMV it's not even funny. i saw a guy price match those circuit city 9.99 games this past summer (dragonquest 8, time splitter future perfect, etc) at gamestop. so i went to the same gamestop to price match a price from best buy and they said no. so it's very YMMV.

Anyone know what's up with Buy 2 Get 2 free? I had 3 different stores tell me it was supposed to start Sunday, but when I went shopping at some different area stores they knew nothing about it. I then felt stupid when I looked at the flyer because the current B 2 G 1 wasnt even over. One of the stores that told me it started is indeed doing the deal, but apparently they are manually overriding the prices since theres no coupon to scan.

I was told that the 2-for-1 deal ends today. Picked up 3 360 games. Thought about getting Vegas...but my huge backlog of games is ridiculous, not including the 3 games that I just bought today. Argh. I go to two GameCrazys in my area. One of them DOES have the B2G2 deal, but the other only has B2G1. So like what Scorch said, its YMMV by whatever the store manager decides on.

nothing is ever YMMV.... EVER, if any store says otherwise then ask for the district managers phone number, they will be sure to fill you in on any deals that are and are not going on in the store. from dec 25-dec 31 all new games 18.99 and less were buy 2 get 1 FREE as of Jan. 1- jan. 7 they are buy 2 get 2 FREE. all of the other deals are now dead, including rainbow six, activision games those all ended on jan. 2.

also I need to find out more but all store should have received there new promotional stuff which includes 20% off USED games and 20% more trade with MVP and also new magazines with MVP cards and the one I really have questions about becuase of the wording is a big purple poster that says add an additional 15% when you trade in 3 or more games I am not sure but i think that is in addition to the MVP card so that would make it 25% above trade in value. If anyone has any other questions concerning Game Crazy deals feel free to ask me (PM) I work at Game Crazy 135794 forest park, OH you can ask ShipWreck he has seen me. The reason I say ask me instead of Scorch is that he doesn't work there so even though it sounds like he lives at his GC his job doesn't depend on knowing every single deal in the store and every price.

I thought up the same idea as soon as we got the signage saying that you could trade in a ps3 toward a 360, but I don't have the "fatwallet" to cover it and I already have a 360. This is VERY YMMV, but after some explain I'm sure you can get any employee to go along with it because, it looks good for them because they can they sell the used ps3 and also they sell two peices of hardware which looks good on the weekly ranker. If you do try this and the employee is unsure tell them that part of the extra money will go toward buying a service contract then you have 2 years on your system (1 year micro. 1 year GC) and we have $8 in our pocket (thats how much we make off you buying a service contract.
