Well since Super Castlevania IV is being released on monday, I have to use my wavebird right now because every Fucking store in my area is and has been sold out of the Fucking classic controllers since launch. Ok so today I got a EB games gift card for christmas from my uncle, but instead of wasting it on a DS game, does anyone know if EB games is taking preorders on the damn classic controllers for their next shipment because I want one badly, but I can't find one.
Thanks
Scorch

You can't preorder something that's already been released.
Hence the "pre" in the "preorder".

OOH, ooh, I want a Red Elebits too - my kids were sorely disappointed in the blue - and the manager of my favorite EB actually saved me the blue on purpose because he though it was more rare. I was the last to pick up so there were no more. He got 6 reds and 3 blues. I appreciated the effort, but I really had wished he did what he was supposed to do and hand them out sealed.
As for the Classic Controller, I realize this is YMMV, but I was in Target yesterday and while they were completely out of all Wii accessories (and Wii's of course), they had about THIRTY Classic controllers in the game case. It was a bit shocking - so you might want to call Target, anyway.

I haven't been to a target since oh months ago and well it was before the Wii launch, if I ever do get that way I will check the target because this is two accounts I heard of target having the controllers. Thanks anyway.

I also know this is YMMV, but today I saw over 20 classic controllers and 4 Wiimotes.

I really thought this would be regional and YMMV, but it appears more widespread than I thought.
And who doesn't live near a Target? Aren't they on just about every major intersection?. They certainly seem to be paired up whenever there are Gamestops in nearly every strip mall in the country. I mean, I could see living somewhere shopping is limited, but if you have a GS handy, it seems a Target would be nearby. Oh well... I live in a place where Walmarts are hard to come by (thank god), so I guess anything is possible.

Where I normally shop at has Wal Mart Supercenter, Gamestop, EB, K-Mart, and I have been to every one almost every week and nothing.
Well, anyway, I think the point is that the Wii controller shortage is pretty much over (or will be soon). I'm seeing Wiimotes just about everywhere now. GC had nunchuks yesterday, and Target all those CC's. I think they will show up at your EB and/or Walmart soon enough. You might have to wait a week or so, but it won't be as bad as it was 2-4 weeks ago.
Edit - Well, now I'm not so sure. I looked on eBay and expected a cratering of the prices on these things, but Nunchuks can still get $45 or so, though they are just as likely to get $20. It is a wacky market on ebay for them now - prices all over the place. It still seems people are getting a premium for the 3 controller sets though (remote, nunchuk, classic for around $115 or so!). The prices on Classic Controllers by themselves seems to be pretty low, though, indicating to me they are easy to find in stores. While a few have sold for $30-$35, many more have sold for $15-$17. Ebay buyers are generally a pretty stupid lot - that's the only reason I can explain the huge differences in auctions that all ended fairly recently.

I been wondering when supply would be greater than the demand for these things, hopefully everyone got their controllers already for christmas so there will be a good supply within the next 2 weeks.

Could be, though there could also be a surge in controller purchases for people who got Wii's (with only one controller set and no CC) for Christmas ;). I would expect many places to sell out of whatever they have left on Tuesday, anyway.

Depends on where you live. Target didn't move into the Northeast until about 5 years ago, and even now, although they are expanding and opening more stores, they are still fairly spread out, so if you live in CT, NY, MA, or anywhere in that area, it's entirely possible that you might live an hour from the nearest Target.
