I have this remote and can definitely recommend it for $60.
My only big complaint is that it can't control the PS3 or Wii as they use bluetooth instead of IR.

I honestly don't know how I managed to survive playing video games and watching TV without this remote. Times were tough.

The little screen on mine broke, out of warranty, debating with myself whether it's worth $60 to replace it... would anybody be interested in buying the one I have with the broken screen?

I got this from amazon a few days ago. I'm going to get a price match on it now since I paid $92.99, although I did have a 25% coupon.
Anyways, this remote is freakin awesome. I even use it to play Uno when I don't feel like using the controller. Works great when you have a lot of game systems in different inputs on the receiver and tv.

My HD TV is by a very un-well known brand..Haier.
Can one of you with the software check and see if the online software that has over 100,000 different codes has any Haier codes??
I would love you forever, and you would feel good about it before Christmas...

Obviously it's for gamers as the product description reads:
"The Harmony 360 Remote Control for Xbox 360 is teh sure way to get more enjoyment out of your Xbox 360 and home entertainment system,"
It's teh best! Wondering if I should pick one up for myself...

Couldn't pass it up when I saw it. I was checking cheapassgamer.com with the opera browser on my wii when I saw the post. Ordered it over the Wii without a problem. Now if only the 360 would add a web browser as well...

If you are considering picking one up you better just grab it. I noticed its listed as one of the top movers & shakers on amazon's site with a sales increase over 7000%. They aren't going to last long...

Good deal OP. I had intended to pick up one of the newer devices after the holiday season but this deal is too good to pass up. $10 says this will get placed on backorder. For whatever reason, my Amazon items always get placed on backorder.

I picked one up a few months back and it's hands down the best remote I've ever used. To those who just ordered it, once you get it (and program it) you'll wonder how you ever got by without it. Trust me.

got one at amazon..it's #1 in electronics right now.
Needed a universal remote for the longest time and I'm glad to get a good one for a fairly low price -- $50 was my budget, and I don't mind paying $10 more.

Not worth it without the HDTV and other frills is it? I mean I only have a SDTV and xbox. Xbox 360 is still under the tree.

I need some information on this thing, like many of the posters in this thread.
What is so wonderful about this remote? I have a PS2, a 360, and a Samsung HDTV. Will it work with all these systems, and if so, it is worth getting? I'm guessing it offers more than just simple convenience, so if someone who owns one can enlighten us, that would be awesome. Thanks!

Whats great about the Remote is its programable on your PC. You settup "Activities" which does take a little while, but is well worth it. So say you press the Watch TV button, it will turn on your TV, Cable box and switch to all the correct inputs. Or if you want to watch a DVD it will turn on the TV, DVD Player, Reciever, Amp, etc... If your doing one activity and switch to another it will turn off the necessary items, not everything, and switch inputs again.
Its a very good remote. I use in in my HT and i have around 10 pieces of equipment in my A/V rack. The remote will connect to a PC or a Mac so no worries there
I have a PS2, a 360, and a Samsung HDTV
For the PS2 you need the IR remote USB plug in, but the 360 and the Samsung work right out of the box. The logitech site where you program the remote has pretty much every consumer electronic device out there.
Oh and you can use the remote even if you do not have a 360. It controls a ton of different devices
Hope that helps

I purchased the Harmony 550 and set it up today. You need to know all your products model numbers and it is pretty easy to set up, I was really happy when it turned my 360 on with a button on the control. :D

I just bit on this deal. I'll be getting an HDTV sometime next year and I figure it will make life easier switching between the consoles (and make my wife happy who still has trouble accessing the DVR).
I saw some people who posted that it won't work with the Wii/PS3 in that it won't turn those systems on, but could it be set up to turn everything on but the actual system? Then I would just need to tap the system's power button (which for the Wii isn't a big deal since hitting the wiimote's power button starts the system up and i think the same might be true for the sixaxis).

Just got in on this deal...thanks OP!
As far as the Wii, you need to use the Wii remote to play anyway so hitting the power button there is no big deal.

Are people so lazy that they don't want to turn on their console with the remote they need to play or scour the console??
I'm in for one of these, but being upset about it not turning my Wii would be retarded.
What a great deal.

It's not really about being lazy, it's more about simplicity. If you have more than one machine hooked up, it can be a pain to choose the right input method ... especially for wives/girlfriends. This makes it much easier. Not having 47 remotes lined up on the coffee table is a bonus, too.
I have no idea what you mean by "scour the console." Maybe yours gets dirtier than mine or something.

I didn't realize this, but I had also ordered from computer brain. The orders says that it is ready to ship by Dec 26th and I'll be watching this EXTREMELY closely to make sure I recieve everything on time.
But, if you just click the price link on the order form, it will show you Amazon's offer of buying the remote for 59.99

If you read it carefully, my young Padawan learner, it says something like '89.99 from Tiger Direct', then below that you will see 'New and used available from 59.99'.Click on THAT link and THEN you will see the Amazon deal. That's what I had to do.Hope that helps! And don't forget to adjust your shipping to free!

Luckily I got in at 59.99, the only bad part is the estimated ship date is from: January 5, 2007 - January 12, 2007
