I hate the fact that there are basically NO video game categories. Its just "video games." makes searching harder.
It was nice when each system had their own category.

Theres a catagory for each system. When you click on the video games catagory, you can then select the system you want or the games for the system you want.

Ya, ebay is starting to suck, but they have such a huge user base, its hard to go away from it.

ebay is not that bad, most people who go on ebay already know what they want. if you're just browsing stuff you just get to see more auctions that's all =) many sellers put the games in the wrong categories before anyway.

If you're selling games, try Video Game Auctions in the stickies in this forum.

You gotta wait for their specials, like free listing day, 10 cent fixed listings, etc. I sold a lot of stuff during the 10 cent fixed listings promotion.

They are having issues with the billing, people are getting inaccurate bills and being duplicate charged lately. its kinda a mess, i'd stay away from selling anything huge (or lots of stuff) for a while...

Yeah, but the only way to grow that user base is to give it a shot. I think you list for free.

Ebay has been going downhill, even the non paying bidders seem to have gotten worse lately. But like BigNick said, the userbase is there so it's basically Ebay or nothing.

Yeah, we need to work on that. There's just not enough bidders, so people are going to be less likely to sell through that venue. Its day will come...

I hate the increase on relisting fees. Is it really my problem if the bidder doesn't pay...?

I wouldn't mind it so much if paypal and ebay weren't the same damn company, so besides listing fees and final value fees i'm also geting another cut taken out if people pay by paypal which 99.9 percent do.

yeah ebay is making a killing off of me....I haven't had that many problems with non paying bidders though...I sell between 90 and 200 items a month, and between 1 and 5 people don't pay...most of my non paying bidders are oversea's

it's not been lately. it's been ongoing. they have a shitty accounting system. they advertise how they bill you wrong also. i had to go through many emails to figure out why the hell i was being double charged all the time. i finally had it resolved and i have a positive balance with ebay. ebay really is starting to go downhill. the only thing they have going for them is userbase(and some stupid users with money). nothing more. it really sucks ebay controls paypal too. just a lame way for them to say they're enforcing shit. ebay employees just sit on their ass and do jackshit but collect percentages.

you know what else? i hate paypal but i got another paypal account because i sold some high dollar rare games and buyers felt uncomfortable paying any other way. what sucks about that is, telling them to pay x amount + your bid so you can recoup your fees. shouldn't ebay waive the fee if you're ebaying? next thing you know they'll want a cut of the shipping and handling, or perhaps even the total bandwidth used from time you put up the auction to the feedback, including all the time people took to bid and inquire your auction. that'll be the day.

yeah, I do think ebay has gone down hill. They have less deals it seems too.

Exactly how much does it cost to list an item?

jshorr

Paypal already takes a cut of the shipping, sort of. If you use a cheapass shipping method (media rate or 1st class as opposed to priority) they charge you a 20 cents label processing fee. :)

Actually I don't know if it's them or the USPS charging you but still....
