Hey guys, me and my brothers used to be hardcore into the AKI fighters for N64, and we haven't stopped playing Revenge on and off since it's release.

Why Revenge you ask? No Mercy is to slow (and slows down in 4 player), World Tour is like Revenge but worse (less moves, weirder characters), and Wrestlemania 2000 isn't quite up to Revenge quality, for whatever reason.

Recently (on Christmas Day) I had my multi-year Mortis winning streak snapped by my brother and The Iceman Dean Malenko. It was heartbreaking.

Anyway, what I'm asking is, anyone else still enjoy the greatness that is WCW Revenge?

Yep. That and WWF No Mercy. I still have barbed wire codes for No Mercy on the GameShark.. it wrapped silver lines around the ropes and whenever someone was irish whipped into them, they stuck on it.. good stuff.

Revenge was awesome. I remember being amazed that there was four or five ways to do the diamond cutter with DDP. (let's see.. normal, irish whip, off the top rope.. I guess a reversal into a diamond cutter (like he blocks a kick, spins them around, BAM! diamond cutter).. that might be it, just the four.)

WCW Revenge was great times and ate up months worth of time of my childhood...maybe a good year...I played that game all the damn time with my friends.

we would set up a four way match and I would always be hogan...I was so good at that game that everyone would be laid out and I would run to the middle of the ring to do the hogan taunt...great times...I miss that game...and those times.

Revenge was the culprit for at lease several C's in college, and many, upon many beers and blunts consumed. I was usually Giant, Razor Ramon, or Roddy...We would have at least 7 people on a 20 man rumble, each time someone would be eliminated, would pass the controller on. Awesome times.

I personally prefered No Mercy. Many a night were spent on that and the GameShark. Oh man, those were the fucking best days of my life. Looking up insane codes and having a buddy type them in while I read them, then going nuts in fatal four way matches.

I see this game every time I go into a local game store. One of these days I am going to buy it and an N64.

and that day, my friend, will be the best day of your life.

It's THAT good. I don't even watch wrestling or anything. Again, it's just THAT good.

So who does everyone like to pick?

Never much got into WCW Revenge but I've put countless hours into No Mercy. My old roommate and I were undefeated with our custom tag team of Clif Claven and Abe Lincoln. Wrestling games with a good creat-a-character are some of the best games to play with non game playing friends. Creating funny characters can get just about anybody interested.

Me any my brother spent countless hours of our childhood playing WWF No Mercy and WCW vs NWA World Tour, I mean countless hours, as in we unlocked every single thing and multiply the time it took to do that by like 20

It was either this game or World Tour that got me to start watching wrestling in the first place.

I lost my copy of this game years ago unfortunely.

When I did have it, I played it to death and it was my favorite out of all the AKI/64 wrestling games.

My favorite wrestlers in the game are still Mortis, Kevin Nash and DDP.

The Diamond Death Cutter (off the top rope), was so fun to pull off.

Wrestlemania 2000 had the best career season mode of any wrestling game, ever.

Revenge was good and all, but the CAW, Titles and Story mode easily makes No MErcy better. If only THQ would smarten up and release a slightly modified port on DS with WFC, then I can die a happy man

That sucks bro. The game can be had for like 5 dollars at Gamestop. If you can't find it in your area and would like a copy, I can ship it to you at cost because last time I was in my local Gamestop they have a bunch of copies.

and yeah, Mortis is my man. It's all about the big boot to the grill.

I disagree. I think the slowed down gameplay of No Mercy, combined with what seems like way to much of a swing in momentum depending on your spirit makes Revenge the better game. For whatever reason it was just more fluid IMO.

But to each his own, I mean I love me some No Mercy (the CAW is the only thing that it has on Revenge IMO) as I was just playing it Thursday night. However, whenever me and the crew play No Mercy, we revert back to Revenge after a few rounds because it just feels right.

I still keep the 64 around specifically for Goldeneye, Revenge, WM2000, and No Mercy.

Me and my friends played Wrestlemania 2000 every day after we came home from Middle School. But we did play a shit ton of WCW/nWo Revenge before WM2000. Unfortunately, I traded my copy to a friend a long time ago for NFL Blitz 2000, and I've been looking to pick up Revenge for a little while now.

and by the way, Booker T is all you need.

Booker IS dominant, I totally agree. He's up there on my character list.

Wrestlemania 2000 is the best one, but Revenge kicks complete ass too. I loved all of the Aki N64 wrestlers, except for No Mercy. I coulden't get into that one for some reason, and bought Smackdown 2! Know Your Role instead of that.
