I've never price matched anything before at Best Buy. Are they jerks about it? I have a bunch of BB gift cards I got for Xmas, and I'd really like to take advantage of the great price on Gears...

They're typically really cool about it. Just go to the checkout and let them know you'd like to PM it and what the price is. Per policy, they will call the store that has the price you're PMing. It can be hit and miss on a few things though - if the store is out of stock, they can deny you. They can also deny you if the store is not considered "local". It really depends on the clerk though - yesterday I successfully PMed Black and Sega Genesis Collection ($9.99 at CC this week) at BestBuy even though the closest CC is a little under 100 miles away.
Good luck!

Do I need a copy of the ad? Theres a Target like right across from the BB, so I will check stock before I head over there just so there are no surprises. Thanks guys.

Yes.
FYI, Target does not pricematch other stores.

The Target I went to was out of GOW, but they gave me a raincheck for the $39.99 price. Can I use that at Best Buy to PM?
buy it at best buy...put gow in your car, grab target ad from car, go to customer service, and do the PM.
Chances are they won't call, because this time of year, the lines are long and they don't have time to be screwing around denying pm's as long as the ad is clear.

Yeah, this is a good idea especially since BB doesn't usually have any sales but instead gives double RZ points. I have yet to PM at BB but will look forward to it :).
Edit: Can anyone tell me if I can use more than one BB RZ Cert on one purchase? (ie: Use 4 $5 Certs to knock off a total of $20?)

Just wanted to update you guys- I know you were on the edge of your seats!
Yeah, they did the PM no problem. I just showed the ad to the cashier at the register when they rung me up.
I went to Target first and snagged a copy of the ad from their customer service, then went to TWO Best Buys that were OUT of GoW.
Got the same story at both: "Oh yeah, we are fresh out. We should get some more on Sunday." Now, I worked retail for a few years- I never heard of a store getting a shipment on a Sunday. I figured maybe BB was pulling them from shelves so they wouldn't have to PM. But that doesn't make a lot of sense, because they lose a sale, and they have it on ad for 44.99 so it's only a 6 dollar hit.
Maybe I'm paranoid, I dunno. I just thought it was wierd that 2 Best Buys within 5 miles of each other were totally out. (I'm in Scottsdale, AZ so the two were Scottsdale Pavilions and the store on FLW and 101). I went to another BB (PV Mall) and they were hip deep in them. The Target I went to had a ton of them too.
Anyway, I got it. Now watch it become a Platinum Hit next month and go for 19.99!
