BIG thanks for the scan...for some reason my free Gamepro subscription has ended.

Anyway, it worked today and I got CoD 3 for 39.99 (w/ tax it came to 43.29). The dude was really examining it, but I think he just didn't know how to apply the coupon. His hott girl co-worker told him to just scan it and then scan the game and it should work...and it did.

By the way, for others...I just printed it out exactly as it looks when you click the image in the first post...I copied it and pasted it in Microsoft Word, then printed it out black and white.

Isn't the coupon for $10 off a $39.99 or higher game...I think its an EXTREME YMMV if you could get the coupon to stack with the pricematch.

The CSR your dealing with would have to ignore the "not combinable with other offers" part of the coupon and misread/ignore the price of the game and manually override it.

I didn't push my luck by asking if I could use reward zone coupons or the 10% coupon or a GGC as well :D

I tried to use the $10 off one at the store in Wdm, IA, today for Splinter cell for 360, I guess they still had an old sale tag up because the shelf was marked $39.99 but it rang up 59.99. Anyway the cashier scanned the coupon but it didn't work, she said it only takes $10 off the original price. so since it was a price override it wouldnt work. Oh well, i still got the game for $35 with a RZ cert, and a battery pack for $6 with the accessory coupon.
I printed them color at 2.5x2.5" and cut them out.

I used the coupon for WarioWare for the Wii without a problem.

I also used it (at the Boston Fenway BB) for Wario. I printed the coupons from #202 and printed on my nice color printer with semi-gloss paper.

The cashier picked it up, and kept flipping it back and forth confused that the front was gloss but the back was plain (card). As soon as he scanned the coupon it came up and I swiped my card so he just shrugged and put it in the drawer.

I'd considered printing the back of a magazine ad on the other side to make it more authentic looking, but I feel like that's cheating -- agreed?

Just used a printout of the 10$ off PC coupon to pick up the WoW expansion pack. They even threw in a free map. The map is probably YMMV, but those in NYC might want to try their luck at the midtown manhattan (5th ave) best buy.

The worst they can do is refuse the coupon, and I don't think a single person here has had a coupon refused. Mine was gigantic and took up most of the page and worked peachy and even worked on the scanner.

All of their coupons say "no copies" even ones you print off of their website. However, it doesn't really matter as 1)they usually scan it without even reading it 2)the text prints smudged.

Has anyone tried to use the $5 dollar off Xbox 360 accessory coupon with the Gaming Receiver? I'm tempted to go down to Best Buy but I don't know if the receiver counts as an Xbox 360 accessory.

Well from what I saw, the Best Buy I was at denied the coupon not because of the scan, but because of the back and front of the coupon and the quality of the paper. I overheard one employee explaining that the ten dollar off coupon that they get use magazine quality paper. Also, one guy (not sure if it was the brightest thing to do or not...) printed out a coupon that was the size of well... the page -_-;. So that also got rejected. Also, I was at the return/exchange desk (that's where the Wii-play were being held), and the manager was there behind the two guys at the registers.

Though the time I used the five dollar off coupon was at the front desk, and I'm sure those people are... less informed.

is the coupon really that big? because if the actual coupon is a different size, and I use this larger coupon print out, the bar codes could be of different spacing and size and when scanned could not work.

I just printed out the scan (from the OP), cut it out so it wasn't so obviously a print-out and used it no problem.

I did print it in colour but I have heard of people using a black and white print as well.

I don't think anyone will have an issue with the coupon being printed out.

In case anyone's anal enough to do what I do... I work in marketing, so I have a ton of paper options. I'm printing the coupon out on glossy 100lb
text stock, which is slightly thicker paper than what Gamepro is probably printed on, but will look and feel identical to 99% of people.

If you know someone with a color laser (kinkos?), even better.

Just a heads up, Kinkos doesn't stock heavy lb paper like this, if you want this kind of paper, you generally have to go to a paper store, like O-K paper.

I wanted to point out, I scored Wario Ware and Crackdown, with two $10 off coupons, and they both worked. They were crappy printouts, black and white, and the guy didn't even blink twice. As long as they scan, I think you're good to use 'em.

I used two at two stores today to get Crackdown for myself and a friend. Nothing like paying normal price for next-gen games.

One cashier fondled it for a moment, looked at it, scanned it, and then didn't give it a second thought.

The second one, I slid it on the counter towards her. She was too busy checking my 29 year old ID (Do I still look 17 to some people? Jesus...) for an M rated game to care about the condition of the coupon. I think that may weigh into people's favor. Make sure they check your ID. :)

I finally used one myself today. Lucked out that I got a cashier/manager combination that allowed me to PM BattleStations Midway from CC and use the coupon. I tried the same thing at a different BB on Sunday for Project 8 but was denied saying the offers couldnt be combined though the cashier didnt agree with the manager. Oddly enough, I wanted BattleStations Midway all along but the BB on Sunday said they had never received a copy of the game. Kinda weird they hadnt received a copy yet but it worked out for the best.

Just out of curiosity, how does your BB handle PMs? The reason I ask is because most of the stores I've gone in will take a weekly ad but the store I went to on Sunday had no desire to see the ad but called a number for CC instead and waited to speak to a rep just to check the price. Seemed like a waste of time to me. It took so long that I didnt bother to challenge the coupon denial.

Well, it comes up in the system as $10 off $39.99 and such action is frowned apon here. Finally, doing so is illegal. Forging a coupon is akin to pulling the price tag off another item and placing it on another.

Sales clerk's taking copies when the fine print says not to is one thing, but altering the coupon is another entirely. Sneaky and iffy would be printing a color picture on the back of the coupon and claiming it was not a copy. Altering the coupon is fraudulent.
