So is it true that the week prior to the Superbowl is when most retailers will have huge sales on TVs? I want to make the jump to HDTV.. c'mon, I just got Gears of War... my 360 is beggin for it!! (Side note: Even on a standard TV, GoW looks and sounds AMAZING!)
Or is it the week of Christmas/after Christmas the best time to get one.. and get one for cheap. (Under $1000)

I was reading an article yesterday that said LCD TV prices may drop up to 40% in 2007. Can't remember where it was. Engadget maybe. Or Wired. I'll post a link when I find it.
