I'm officially proclaiming Sega Genesis Collection is the greatest compilation every released.

I respect OPs opinion but I'm sad to say I was disappointed myself. Comix Zone was the only real standout for me. I'm sure the phantasy star series is great but they aren't really my thing, for some reason I find Dragon Quest games more interesting. Sonic 2 is always great but difficult for me to control with the PS2 controller. There were some other okay games like Ristar, Altered Beast, and the newer of the two Shinobi games, but I just find that the Sega first party games can't compare with the best from the Nintendo 16 bit era in terms of sheer playability and fun. For the record I owned a Genesis back in the day and not a SNES. Many games look decent but play clunky and stiff (i.e. all of the Golden Axe games). I paid 10 bones for the collection and I think it is worth that at most.
I would have traded golden axe 2 and 3 for streets of rage 2.
Otherwise it is very solid.

For the next collection you'll probably get Streets of Rage 1-3, Eternal Champions and all the other neglected classics not in this collection. I personally hope that Sega sneaks on some of the better Master System (Phantasy Star I), Game Gear (Shining Force Sword of Hayja), Sega CD (Sonic CD), and 32X (Knuckles Chaotix) games on the next collection
