Last night I was playing Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga in the bath and I was trying to get to a save point so that I could play Mario vs. Donkey Kong, which I just got off of ebay. (Not looking for criticism about the danger of dropping my DS in the bath by the way :)) So I had the Mario vs. Donkey Kong cartridge sitting on the counter next to the bathtub. Well my cat walked by and knocked it in #-o

So I blow dried it a little and then I opened it up and dried it off and then let it sit until today and it still seems to work. Does anyone know if it is still likely that it could get corroded or anything or if it will probably continue to work?

It should be fine I would think.

And look at the bright side--at least you didn't drop it in the TOILET!!

It's probably fine. As an extreme example, I once found myself in a pool (nastier stuff in it than in your bathtub probably) with my cellphone in my pocket. I took it apart, dried everything, and it works fine months later. Are GBA carts as tough as Atari 2600 carts? If they're even close, you're OK. I'd clean it with Nintendo's cleaning kit and distilled water just to make sure, but it should be fine.

Was the shitter full?

I think you're fine. Clean it well, check it every day or so for a week, and then forget it. Half the letters to the editor in the old Nintendo Power (a biased source, to be sure) were about the sheer abuse the old Nintendo systems/games would take and still keep working.

i put my cell phone in the laundry on accident and it is working mostly still and it's a half year later. Nintendo cartridges seem to be more durable than dvds/cds that other consoles use.
