Thanks.
I'd suggest, though to just go to Bestbuy and use a GGC for around $26.00. Instant gratification, as opposed to waiting two weeks and getting the Japanese version.

That is a solid plan too, but some of us <3 imports

Totally understand, as I own quite a bit of those as well. I love the packaging/manual and overall dedication to presenting the game. You can never get the same stuff in the U.S. for most games that come over.

thats great price..thanks OP..i saw this at NCSX for like 59-69. I believe all the games menus are in engrish..so are the voices, which is kind of a bummer cause this wacky game wouldve been priceless in japanese.

Hmmm....I wonder if there are selectable languages. It'd be kind of odd for a Japanese game to have almost no Japanese :P

The menus and text are all in Japanese. The voices, however, are English.

Trust me, the game works perfectly fine with English voices, regardless of what language you natively speak. They're completely over-the-top, and really silly. They voices aren't Metal Gear Solid-caliber, and they're not supposed to be. They fit the style of the game just fine: cheesy, over-the-top, and fully aware of it's own goofiness.

Plus, the NTSC-J version has the awesomeness that is the Pan Drop roulette attack.

This game is good... almost great, but not "not great"... you get it?

It is good quality DMC-style fare (In difficulty and design), but at some points it really forgets itself difficulty/game balance-wise.

Basically though, if it sounds like you'll like it, you will.

Actually, the difficulty and balance is perfect when you never lose what you gain, never far from a save/ check point, and can lower the difficulty by begging. That's without taking in the 100+ moves that you can change up right in the middle of a fight to work out new strategies. Having beaten the game, the only enemy that gave me trouble was the sword guys because of their insane reach, but you only needed to save your god gauge to take care of them.

The fact that there's no lame puzzles makes it better than DMC easily. :bouncy:
