You missed out.

Christmas Eve, Best Buy had it only sell for 50% off.

Even with overnight shipping, it only cost me $131.97

Here are some pictures I took of it.

I went to sams club the other day and it was posted for like 167.xx. It's the cheapest price I've seen on it. This was the Sams Club in Albany, GA and YMMV. It did look like the official store price as opposed to the markdowns. Maybe you'll have luck with it. Here's wishin!

Ya that's what I was going to say. With regular shipping it was about $105, not gonna beat that.

Lordwow,

I think you mean $114.99 ($229.99 - 50% = $114.99) + shipping + taxes. Still very cheap for this set.

That really dosen't help him find the cheapest place to buy the set from, unless he has a time travel machine. I never understand these posts, like "Oh, you missed out, 3 weeks ago it was on sale, but I'm just going to brag cause I got in on it!".

I don't think its necessarily bragging.

If anything, it shows me what possible prices to wait for until I purchase it.

You'll never see another 50% off all HBO shows in this lifetime... that was one of those extremely rare sales that I would be surprised they ever run again, because they probably lost a good chunk of money on the $200 sets.

Barnes & Noble b&m has a buy 1 get 1 sale until the end of the month on all tv box sets over 29.99. Some people over at dvd talk have picked up this set with either the buffy set, the west wing set, the sopranos set, or the sex and the city set

Here's the situation... HBO DVDs STINK and are extremely overpriced.

Your best bet to get it at an affordable price is ebay, a quick search shows that some copies are going for 76 dollars (ending in 20 minutes, so probably will get to be 100-120), 96 dollars, etc. Just make sure you look at the shipping costs. You shouldn't pay more than 150 dollars after shipping.

/really doesn't like HBO DVDs
//bougt sopranos season 1-5 for 120 dollars on ebay (hooray forbootlegs... I love digital formats)

I've heard that their special features are practically non-existent...

And this series is ruined by Claire never getting naked.

And who would have thought that they would have run it the first time?

All I'm saying is that we now know it isn't impossible for Best Buy (or anyone else for that matter) to possibly sell it at that price. The precedent has been set.

Well, you know, if you WERE to get a bootleg, why pay 120 bucks for it when you could download them and put them on DVDs yourself for under 20 (cost of blank DVDs)?8-)

Best bet is probably to get two using BOGO at Barnes and Noble and then sell the extra one to make back most of the money. If you sell the extra one for even 50% of the original price then you got your copy for half off, and you can probably sell it for more than that.
