I have a few playstation discs that have multiple light scratches. I have a small but deserving playstation collection and want them to be mint condition again. Is there anyway you can get rid of them. I dont want to risk destroying my discs cause it will cost time and money to replace. Post your Advise and stories about what to?

I don't think there's anything you can do. There was something I saw a few years ago that allegedly removed scratches, but it actually took a few microns or so of the entire surface off your discs. I would recommend not being anal and enjoy playing your games. They're for play, not collect.

I remember when a friend of mine said something about peanut butter or somethin like that to remedy the scratches. I laughed, and laughed again as he attempted to do so in front of my eyes.
It was priceless, he's so gullable >.>...

Here's a novel thought:
Quit opening multiple threads for the same damn thing. How many times do you have to open a silent hill thread? Or a FF7 thread? Or a sandpapering your discs thread?
Oh, and here's to peanut butter.

You sound like you've been through a lot today, so I'll offer something. I hear Gamecrazy has these resurfacing machines that make discs look brand new... perhaps see if they can help you out?

If they're light scratches that don't affect gameplay, don't fix what ain't broken.

My advice to your thread: Go to gamecrazy and get it resurfaced. if you're too cheap for that, use toothpaste and a towel.
and as for the peanut butter:

Toothpaste is a valuable tool in getting scratched games/dvd's to play. If the games already play, I wouldn't worry about it.

Are you afraid the Playstation Collectors Police are gonna show up at your front door for a spot inspection of all your discs playing surfaces?
If they work, then they work, be happy!
