Need help on THE MOVIES.

Hi. I bought a laptop last fall but have never used it to play games. It is an Acer notebook computer with an AMD Sempron processor 3000+ in it. It has 512 memory and is a 1.8 GHZ. I installed the PC game The Movies yesterday but when it starts, it will work for about 5 minutes then the screen just goes green and it has lines through it. I tried changing the resolution and that didn't work either. Any ideas on how to get this to work?

Sounds like over heating. Make sure the fans are not obstructed. You can check if it is over heating with some software, maybe Lavays Everest. Also see if cool and quiet is on for your processor, it should be an option in the BIOS. Cool and Quiet will lower the speed of your processor when it gets hot to cool it down.
