Speaking of which Shrike, I found out that him and his wife are getting a divorce, its being finalized now. Only thing is that he doesn't know if they're gonna have to sell this house. So he told my room mateSherm when he dropped off his part of the rent, thats why he didn't renew the lease at the begining of the year. As he wants us to be free to find another place. Which I think we may have found a place. Its a 4 bedroom house in a very nice area of Virginia Beach for only 850 a month. One roomie, Sherm, is gonna call the old lady that that owns it and ask her about it tomorrow or Thur. When sherm talked to the girl that is renting it now, she said she spoke to the landlord and she kinda asked if they (meaning us) could afford a little more than 850 a month. Sherm said hes gonna try and talk to her into staying at 850. Even is she wants say 900 or 950, that still a damn good deal. And the place is totally pet friendly too boot. How I would love to have our dogs back. I miss my Jack Russell Mickey and our sweet mutt Spiffy...
Hopefully that'll work. I'd expect to go up to 950/month, if you can swing it, since I think it'll be better than what you have now.

The Google Checkout gripe is because I placed an order through them on Buy.com, my first, should have had the $10 off. No sign of it on the order, no sign of it on my Google Checkout account. Placed the order on Sunday, sent them emails Sunday, yesterday and today, no response. Talked with Buy.com, they told me to deal with Google Checkout, so no surprise there. I turned it over to my CC company to deal with.

The USPS issue is for a Zelda TP LE guide I sold on here, shipped out on the 26th, made it most of the way to the destination on the 29th, then apparently did nothing for most of 10 days, until it made it back here and was attempted to be delivered to me today. :-s Insured package, so I'm covered if someone fucked it up, though I'm trying to figure out what they did to it and why is it back with me.

I sold it for $50, or something like that, on eBay. The buyer was kind of weird, to be honest. I'm thinking he did receive it, because he didn't file any type of complaint, or even messaged me that much -- he just dropped it.

I think there's an 80% chance he received it, and it came late and he was embarrassed to admit that - initially - he was making a big deal over nothing.

He didn't even leave me negative feedback (or any feedback).

I didn't even refund his money, according to the terms I stated in my auction. He didn't even ask for a refund.

I'd have to be a little more specific in including the drivers and people sorting the mail to include them in my "Fuck Off and Die" list because they're lazy, stupid, worthless people. I just picked up my held mail from the post office, expecting a large bundle because it wasn't ever delivered to my mailbox as specified in the holding order. It was a magazine and a letter from my school, which tells me that they're just too fucking lazy to deliver those two items on Saturday. I'd suggest firing them all and hiring competent workers, but competent workers wouldn't get close to that job.

They don't ship games out in one package unless something's changed recently. It's always just one game per package that's sent at a time.

They don't ship games out in one package unless something's changed recently. It's always just one game per package that's sent at a time.

That's been my experience as well, but at this point I should have received pretty much all of the 8 games they sent out (all but one was claimed to have shipped by last Wednesday (first mail day of the year) and even going coast to coast most 1st class packages would be here by now. The odds that 0 out of 8 would be here are slim. (CB mentioned it may have been lost in the mail, but it's incredibly remote that 8 packages would all have been lost.)

Then I got a notice of a FedEx package from Gamefly so I think they bundled them together to me for some strange reason. Basically I'm just waiting until that package gets here to see what it is, and if there is some explanation in the box explaining what happened here (doubt it).

All I can think of is the first one was returned because they screwed up my address somehow, they realized all of them would have that same problem, and just threw a 2nd copy of everything I ordered in a box and called FedEx. But that's just wild speculation.

What the hell, went ahead and sent them a question about this using their online form. No idea how fast they are with turning those around and their response page does not give a time line.

Not really impressed with their customer communication.

- My graphic designers (the person who will be creating the ad) is off until Thursday morning. The graphic designers are also students, so they're part time... and I'm not 100% sure of their hours.
- I am in meetings all day tomorrow (as my boss assigned me to go to her meetings + my meetings for the next 3 days) and until 11 AM on Thursday.
- I can't just send the ad in, it has to be approved my bosses' boss. Who I've never met, nor do I know his schedule. I'd find it out, but I'm out of the office until Thursday afternoon.
- The department who is being charged for the advertisement, doesn't know it's coming because they don't answer their emails/voicemail. That's not so much my problem.
- The company asking us to do the advertisment did not send us promo materials, so we don't have any press photos to work with.
- My boss has basically informed me that my reputation is on the line (she can't fire me because I'm under contract) and I'll pretty much be in deep shit if this doesn't get out.

Well, I figure, if anything goes wrong, it's not really my fault. I mean my boss can blame me. But since the other people are technically my subordinates, I can blame them. And to anyone outside of my department, it's pretty much her fault for leaving in the middle of one of the busiest projects the company has done (she'll be out 5 out of 10 days since New Years).

Basically, I'm the middle man here. I have no power to do anything (I can't make advertisements, I can't pay of them, I can't approve them, all I can do is send it over once everyone else does their jobs). And since I'm covering all her meetings, I'm not responsible for making sure everyone else does their jobs, especially since our workers don't work between now and then.

Well, I came up with this idea that if I can help 25 people on CAG get a Wii, and maybe make $10 of each Wii, then I could pretty much get a Wii for free! I mean, it sounds fair and all. I've run into a slight snag with the new system as the onboard POS soundcard doesn't seem to want to record from the mic input correctly. It seems to like to pan all the audio to the left channel since I record in stereo. Now yes I could record in mono sound but there is a bit of a crispness in the high end that is missing when recorded in mono.

Hopefully I'll get this fixed very quickly.

I was thinking about picking up another original xbox but they are still going for 110 bucks, used at GS, so I don't think it's worth it just for Halo 2. It's a fun game and I know I could get my moneys worth out of that alone but it just seems like a waste for a game that I've already played for a year and a half.

Only way you'll find XBL subs for an original Xbox is an XBL kit. I haven't seen the XBL cards in a while for the original Xbox, easily to when the 360 came out. Though, I think the cards go backwards from the 360 cards to the original Xbox.

If you need subs that bad, I have a couple of 2 month trial cards I found when I was cleaning. Supposedly, they don't work, as they're expired, though if they work, they're yours. You need to make a GT per trial, can't use a trial twice on the same GT. Some XBL games are BC with the 360, depends on the game. HW, nope.

She had to work in the morning and went to sleep... I was smart enough to give her the keys when I started feeling too tipsy to drive and told her not to give them back until I was ok to drive. Apparently, that doesn't just apply to coming out of the closet or joining a swinger's club anymore. Nowadays that's apparently the going term for going on a diet and exercising. Damn I'm hungry.

Yes, cut back portions and if anyone saw me logged onto Xbox Live this morning it was because I was using the HD-DVD drive to "watch" 8 Minute Abs. I'm sure "Yourself Fitness" will be getting fired up here in the next few days as well.

Oh, and I'm cutting back on caffeine as well... so I get angry in the afternoons.

From what I can tell, we get these really small portions of non-fried food that are low in calories, sodium, and saturated fat. There's even these little bags of "cookies" that say "100 calorie pack". Cookies my ass.

My lunch consisted of low-fat ham and low-fat cheese wrapped in a tortilla with lettuce and mustard (at least I think there was ham and cheese hidden in there somewhere), an orange, water and "cookies".

I cut back on my portions after I got my wisdom teeth pulled last summer simply because I lived off pudding and ice tea for 2 weeks and my stomach just wasn't big enough anymore for the portions I used to eat. I still get full really fast so I still eat small portions. Since I started working at UPS I ate more often because I was obviously burning more engery and I have just kept active after that was over. I was at 170 before I got my teeth pulled and now I'm at 140.
