DVDs from major bookstores are so overpriced, I doubt you'll find a deal in there.

This deal is B&M on ALL TV box sets. I picked up Season 1 and 2 of Lost for $50 and I'm going back for probably Seasons 2-7 of Buffy.

Big potential here on some of the complete series sets. Alias, Buffy, Homicide and Sex and the City (maybe more, those are just the only ones I've noticed so far) all qualify for the BOGO. Even if you only want one, use it to get two copies and flip one on ebay. With a little luck you could have one for next to nothing. I've considered it and I'm not even that interested in any of those shows.

Just buy the big set thats $199 before any membership discounts or $10 coupon etc. then either a second copy to sell or something else cool like the complete Alias set.

Yes, do get Lost. With the new season coming back in a few weeks, this gives you enough time to catch up with the amazing first two seasons as well as the many wtf moments the beginning of the third season brought.
I'm picking up Felicity seasons 2 and 3 since my girlfriend just finished watching all of Dawson's Creek. I didn't realize Felicity was so damn expensive.

Still four weeks left to catch up on Lost (S1 and S2 on DVD; S3 first six episodes are free online at ABC.com).

Great for Da Ali G show complete collection. Lowest price I can find is $39.99, so paying $49.99 and getting something else free is an awesome deal.

Im waiting on lost until we get the ads for Feb just before the rest of S3 airs. I'm guessing we'll get some deals on the season sets.

Season 2 was $30 at a number of places a few weeks ago, but I've never seen season 1 drop below $32. Unless both are less than $30, this deal is just as good, since you'll get the DVDs a lot sooner and for a great price.

Just wanted to point out that this can be a pretty awesome deal. This works B&M as well as online, and B&M has a much better selection. What really makes it great is that it combines with a $10 off $40 coupon.
I got Scrubs Season 3 and 4 last night (plus a $2 book just to get the total over $40) for about $30! That's $15 each.
Coupon (http://www.barnesandnoble.com/thisweek/online.asp?PID=14262) (from the B&N site)
Edit: The coupon expires Jan 14 even though the BOGO goes through Jan 30, so act now if you want a good deal.
Has anyone used this deal to get something like the Six Feet Under Complete Series set?
I ask because they've got that and a SKU for the two seasons of Carnivale bundled together. I'm wondering if I can get both of those together, and get both for ~$200. The website shows them both, but doesn't show them as qualifying for BOGO. I wonder if I could have a store special order both of those, and have them take the discount in the store. I suppose it's worth a shot.

The lady at the B&N where I went told me the BOGO works on ALL TV box sets with 2 discs or more.

Unfortunately, just about any time I check for said deals, almost any DVD set I'd like to grab ends up being way more that retail price. :\ It's almost like they share prices with FYE.

Anyone wanting the new series of Doctor Who series 1 and 2 should definetly use this deal....
I was going to grab the Twilight zone sets but then I realized how bad the deal was considering the complete set at the cheapest costs $170 at Walmart.com (its not there anymore but im pretty sure theyll get more in)

FYI - if online price is cheaper than in-store , you can place a "Ship to Home" order which will reflect online price and you will get the B1G1 on top.

Remember you get 10% off the price and their are 15% off coupons floating around the internet. I used it in conjuction with 24 season 2,3 which came out to 56 bucks. More than I wanted to pay when considering they were at BB for 19.99 two weeks ago, but after season 1 I need my fix, this show is like crack
