3 for $10 at GS and EB'Games

I was at my local EB games today and they had a pretty big selection of used dvds 3 for $10 I picked up the last two Lord of Rings, and London, to complete my Chris Evans collection. They had some other decent movies there too, like Farenheit 9/11, The Grudge, Spider-Man, and Spider-man 2 and a bunch of others that I would have picked up, if it wouldnt have been that I already paid full price for them somewhere else.

Of course this all depends on what people trade in, but hey, its worth a shot.

$5.99 movies are 3 for $10
$9.99 movies are 3 for $20
$12.99 movies are 3 for $30

Best time to get these movies is when they do the B2G1 free sale. You get that sale ON TOP of the 3 for $__ sale AND you can use the edge card for 10% off more! $5.99 movies come out to $2 each, $9.99 movies come out to $4 each, and $12.99 movies come out to $6 each. I got MANY dvd's this way.

Yes, gotta love it when they do that B1G2 free deal ontop of the 3 for 10, 20, 30 deal.

The Cheapo DVD's at my EB's getting kinda weak. They only had a vew titles that interested me a bit, A Few Good Men was one of them, I couldn't will myself to buy The Grudge or Ring 2.... Not at those prices, :-P

Buy 2 at $3.33 each and get 3rd for free. Then 10% off $6.66 = $6. So 3 dvds for $6

Same math for the other deal. I get dvds from em all the time during their sales.

Sometimes you can get even better deals that you're supposed to on the EB DVDs. If the employee who stickers a certain one doesn't enter it in the computer correctly it will be labeled as "generic dvd" or "anime" and will always be $5.99. Fullmetal Alchemist, He-Man, things like this are good candidates for being entered incorrectly(Full Metal, Heman) when being priced. I've gotten a lot of stuff that should have been $9.99-$12.99 @ $5.99 this way. Of course this is a huge YMMV, but you should always check labels just in case.

There's one difference, though. There are many, many more movies at each price point than there used to be.

3 for $10 used to be mostly utter garbage, but there are a lot of decent movies showing up at this pricepoint now.

Thanks for explaining how the B2G1 works with the 3 for $10/20/30 deal. I didn't understand that myself. Pretty sweet. I think I'll be taking advantage of this next time they do that sale.

especially at the EB Games I work at. so many people steal DVDs from Sears/Suncoast/FYE and trade them in at our store for $. of course, we tell security and they do nothing about it. ah well. i've gotten some good TV boxsets cheap (the office bbc, reno 911, etc) when b2g1 is going on.

Yeah i got all 3 gundam seed movies in a LE box that way. Also got Infitnite Ryuvius complete collection that way.

I was able to get the Cagliostro SE for $3 that way. Had a "Generic anime" tag on it. Thing was still selling for retail price at the other retailers.

If you wait for the B2G1 free sales, buy the movies AND two games. You actually get two free games instead of one.

I usually end up with like 7 items for $15.
