Just wanted to see if anyone had experienced this problem as well. I just bought my 360 last week and everything worked well, but last night, I tried to fire up my system by pressing the middle button. The lights started to blink on the controller but the system never fired up. I have my friends Play and charge kit so I tried to plug that in and play that way, figuring that maybe the battery was dead. I started up the system manually but the light just kept on blinking as the system booted up the game. I plugged in my cheapass wired controller and that worked fine. I switched out the rechargeable battery with regular AA batteries and the same. Is there something wrong with my controller? Should I contact Microsoft or is there an easy fix? Thanks, guys!

I would try to re-synch the controller to the console.

I would try to re-synch the controller to the console.

And by resynch, Mr Unoriginal means this:

Turn on your console with power button. Turn on your controller via the middle button. Next, press the little circular button on top of your controller near LB button. Once you see the light glowing in a clockwise fashion, click the little circular button near the memory card slot #2 on the console. It takes about 2 seconds and then that controller will be "registered" with that console.

Just wanted to make sure you will get it taken care of. Didn't want to make it seem like you didn't know how to resynch.

Thanks, I was going to post something like that but I forgot the exact steps and didn't want to screw him up (or check on google).

Same thing happened to me once I started using a play and charge kit, just re-synch and you're ready to go.

Thanks, I didn't know about the whole resync thing. I'll try it when I get home. Thanks, guys!
