Try Romance of the Three Kingdoms for the NES, also Genghis Kahn for the NES, both are american releases. Beat that!

Fun Thread...went through 30 pages

I don't deal with PC Games so I'm trumped there. Though I and everyone in my circle is very fond of Metal Wolf Chaos (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Genl242_ZU8)

Came with a rather nifty looking soundtrack disc.
http://img105.imageshack.us/img105/4242/mwcxboxtbxt3.jpg

I have the game...but not the soundtrack. Damn I'm envious

Dragon Ball Z Butoden 2 for SFC

I have 3 copies...2 complete 1 cart only

However, when we're talking about CAGs i bet no one in this forum owns a copy of Steel Battalion

uh...I own 6 copies. 1 of them is a line of contact beta kit.

hell...chacrana's seen pictures of a couple of them

I'd say Panzer Dragoon Saga because it goes for so much (or does it?), but I'm sure a few others have it. Because of that, I'll say the Xenogears Perfect Works,

raises hands on both items

Earthbound Zero, on a cart. Not a very good game really.

I had that made for me as well.

General Chaos(Sega Genesis) (You can see the camo from this cart in the picutre I posted above.

that game is so awesome...I should bust it out on the nomad

ZOMG SkYDiVInG ExTreeeeeeeeME!11!! TotALly RAD D00D!!....
Yeah, I bought it for $5 at that famous Circuit City sale in the summer like 2 years ago. It's still sealed...

paid 3 bucks for it...wasn't a complete lost. I use it to trigger the memory card exploit on the ps2

Mario Tennis for the GBA!!! I am the only one in the world!!!

::slides copy under bed:: yes you are....yes you are.

My entry, Remote Control Dandy: the Japan-only PS1 precursor to Robot Alchemic Drive. I tried a demo of it via Playstation Underground, and picked it up while staying in Japan for a while. Great game, though running after your giant robot got a bit tedious toward the end.

I gots that...after I checked out R.A.D. fun game.

Beat This!

Rakugaki Showtime for Playstation =D

It's like power stone, but it's cartoon like and hella fun =)

It also came out on the dreamcast

damn you...I'm still hunting for that...it came out for the DC?

I'll 1-up you. I got Tobal 2.

I got 1 and 2

I have Irritating Stick for the PS1...The real question is who actually wanted it....

spent 10 bucks on it...why? no clue.

My contributions off the top of my head...

Japanese
UFO Kamen Yakisoban
Segata Sanshirou Shinkenyugi
technically anything for the 64dd
Double S.T.E.A.L. (sequel to Wreckless, wasn't released in the states)

good god other people have that too! although on my unit the "solar panel" thing is slightly dented in...but I still love it.

Dragon's Curse for TG-16...........
Had that, enjoyed it. Isn't it like identical to some Wonder Boy game on Master System? BTW, it's available for Wii's VC now, but I haven't re-purchased it.

T&C Surf Designs for the NES
I've owned a few copies of these. Think I still have one somewhere. The skating is great, but I never got the hang of the surfing. It seemed really arbitrary: Just try to stay up for a while unit the goal appears. Maybe if I played it now I'd do better.

Played it a little for a story I was writing on early XBLA games. Didn't do much for me, but I could see someone digging it with more time spent. Reminded me a little of Oddworld: Abe's Oddyssee.

yeah, you have to play about 10 missions to get past the beginner puzzles, then it starts getting fun. there are some bonus stages and special missions that are a blast too.

I guess the main character is kinda oddworld-ish looking..

Biohazard Gun Survivor for the Ps1 (jp import)

http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/5102/biohazardgunsurvivorfrontx2mi.jpg

it was the first mediocre/bad ps1 game. i remember buying it from a U.S. online retailer for a bargain price of $62.99 (it was the most expensive game i bought at that time). another reason i bought it was because the RE Survivor version in the U.S. does not have Guncon support, while the JP version did. i still have it to this day and barely played it.

http://i.i.com.com/cnet.g2/images/bigboxshots/4/571254_9322_front.jpg

In one of the wierdest moves in video game history a Spider-Man game gets released in Japan only. And the game is actually decent. I'm guessing it's got something to do with legeal rights and all the jazz.

That looks bad-ass!

I've gotta keep my eye out for that next time I'm cruising the used game shops in Osaka/Tokyo!

Some other things I've acquired lately:

I read through all 40 goddamned pages to have my soul crushed that other people have Great Greed for the Game Boy. But nobody else mentioned they also have the box and instructions, so I'll keep a little bit of my smile knowing that...

Some other games I saw listed that other people didn't shoot down:

Doshin the Giant (GameCube) - Had my buddy in Holland sent this baby to me.
Tingle's Balloon Fight (DS) - Yeah, somebody else shot it down, but I have it too. Cool little game...
Shantae (Game Boy Color) - I've owned this game three times. First two were kept by girlfriends (complete copies too) and the one I have now is cart only. This is the first big title my buddy did the music for so I had to have it. He went on to do the music for Legend of Kay (PS2) and Contra 4.
Monster Party (NES) - What the hell? Nobody else has this?? I thought this was common....
Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters (Game Boy) - I remember buying this at a Sam's Club way back when it was brand new... Lost it a while later but it's back in my possession. Love this one...
Mr. Driller Drill Land (GameCube) - First import I ever got for my Cube right after I got my region flip switch installed. Good times, though I couldn't understand shit...

Anyways, since Great Greed was taken away from me, my only contributions are:
Game & Watch Collection (DS) - I'm sure others have this... If you have Tingle's Balloon Fight, you should have this one too.
iS: internal Section (PSX) - Remember seeing this in PSM (I think) a long time ago and it was nicknamed The Devil's Kaleidoscope. I wanted it to come to America so bad because you could let the game load and then play the shooting stages (with seizure inducing backgrounds!) to whatever CD you wanted and the stage would adapt to the music. I searched for YEARS to find an import and a while after giving up I saw a low Buy it Now that sealed the deal for me. Anybody else have this sumbitch?

Also, to the person who mentioned Kameo for Xbox, can you share some details on the game?? Is there a way to download this to check it out on my modBox?

LOL It's bad huh? US version though, right, cause I know it was just brought here not even a year ago from Japan.

I heard it's like Pikmin, which I've never really played, but I wanted to try out.

On a related note from my earlier post, I must say again that navigating the menus in Fire Pro Wrestling Returns takes a bleepin' college degree with their menus and sub menus and sub headings and so on.

I haven't touched the game in about a week, since I created my monster female CAW in it.

And botticus, did you do some bug-hunting for them on Lord of Magic?

I am kinda reading and replying as I go, but I have 3d world runner for the nes! good game for the times, I don't go back to the nes and play all that often unless I am kickin it with my Wii

Games I own that others might not... The 7th Saga on the Snes, Shining Force III for the Saturn and an uplayed mint copy of Earthbound on the Snes (I would say unopened but the box never came sealed and I opened it to make sure everything was there (even the sniffy cards in the guide (I never inhaled)).

I tried to read through this thing....made it 20+ pages and didn't see this game so I'm going to list it now...sorry if someone else already posted it:

Segagaga for the Dreamcast, a sweet RPG where you control a crew of programmers and you develop video games to help Sega Regain Market share.

Super fun, if only I had more knowledge of the Japanese language I could have alot more fun with it...should probably bust it out again ;) I have it complete with spine card, got it from Sega Direct.

Appears there are some up on ebay, if you want to give it a shot I highly recommend it!

As far as US games...Rise of the Dragon for Sega CD was always a favorite of mine, got it brand new at KB along with Snatcher, I think the total cost of them both was around $10 or so. Fun game where you are a detective investigating drug overdoses.

I also have some other games mentioned like Snatcher for the Sega CD, Policenauts Limited Edition for the PSX and "Mr. Nutz" for the SNES (not listed and probably not rare, but fun for kids!)

Sonofabitch!!! I had one of those motherfuckers and my grandmom gave it to the dickhead who did a shoddy job building our new house for his kids. I had that and this Mario's Cement Factory mini game too. I used to love playing both and wish I still had them today.

I used to play that pacman game at my grandmas...it broke and my uncle threw it away. I loved that thing.

This talk of handheld games remind me of something else I have. I have one of those little handheld LCD games that's a Green Giant game. I've had it since I was a kid, so it's from sometime in the 80's. You play as Sprout, and you have to run around grabbing corn while avoiding the crows. If I can find it, I'll try and take a picture.

Nice. I had the Donkey Kong one (http://www.handheldmuseum.com/Coleco/DK.htm). It was the first time I owned anything with the name "Nintendo" on it.

Anyone else have the Tomy Pac-Man (http://the80srule.blogspot.com/2006/01/tomys-handheld-pac-man-forgotten-gem.html)?

A Rescue 911 Pinball machine.

Not sure if it counts, but I'm guessing it's probably not a commonly owned game.

Always good to see more pinball owners here. I have a Whirlwind, Creature from the Black Lagoon, and World Cup Soccer 94. I used to also own a WWF WrestleFest arcade machine, but sold it to get funds for the WCS94...

I wanted it for the longest time, then I saw how it played on YouTube and was immediately bored. It would've been better if the enemies you fought were all of the other Transformers and not just clones of 1-3 particular ones.

Plus, wtfh was with the kung fu moves(ala punching and kicking) with the Transformers in it? All I ever remember from the episodes was alot of gunplay, with the rare hand to hand battles between them.

THAT game was about the ONLY reason I was thinking of getting one of my PS2's modded, but after seeing gameplay for it, I changed my mind QUICK.

About the only other game I half considered chipping my PS2 for was a Super Smash Bros. type game with Optimus Prime, Snake from Metal Gear and a bunch of other characters in it.

I have it, and reviewed it for Game Informer (http://www.gameinformer.com/Games/Review/200104/R03.0804.1123.47584.htm) back in the day. Decent game, and one of the first budget PSone games.

I got that, and I listen to it every time I impregnate your wife, too! I mean... I like it a lot, and probably got more use out of it than the SNES game. I used some of the songs in a high school video project I did where my girlfriend taped me doing taekwondo demonstrations. It fit well.

You mean Dream Mix: TV World Fighters. I used to own it and it was par. Definatly not as good as Smash Bros. It also had Megatron, Simon Belmont, Bomberman, and Yuki from Bloady Roar. Remember it also came out for Gamecube.

What made Transformers Tetrakai so bad was the controls. Turning is way too slow, the gameplay was way to linear, and overall movement was slugish. You'll find yourself getting raped by 4 Ironhides cause you're taking forever to turn around and punch em'. I wouldn't have mind all the TF clones if the game played better. It's funny cause all the voice acting is in English and you have an option to make all the menus in English. It's very import friendly, too bad the game just sucks.

Stretch Panic is by a very good game company by the name of Treasure Co. Ltd. for the PS2, released 8/28/2001.

It was a pretty deviantly interesting game, where you have a possessed scarf that pulls on the vulnerable body parts of enemies in order to hurt them. There were some bimbo-looking enemies that used their fridge-sized boobs as shields...

I think I've got two games that nobody here is going to have.

The first is a Korean copy of Pro Wrestling for the NES. I won it in a contest Ledhed ran a few years ago.

The second is a copy of Power League 64 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_League_64), which inexplicably showed up at a local Family Video store. It took years for it to be cleared out, but when it did I picked it up for five bucks. I'm guessing there wasn't much demand for it.

not sure if this was mentioned but I still have Sesame Street ABCs for the NES. I also have one that is for 123s. Not sure if its Sesame Street or Elmo's. It too is for the NES. Will post pic when I get the. chance tommorow. Hard typing on an iPhone.

Either that or Golf for the original, big fat gameboy. The one that has mario on the front (seen here):

We've got a copy of Sesame Street ABCs back at home.

Golf for the Game Boy isn't rare at all, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was Player's Choice (though I can't find a complete list of old Player's Choice titles anywhere).

Cyberia for the PC

That was I think the first game I got for my first PC. I remember one scene specifically when your snowy mountains sneaking into some base and theres a scene where you have to jump through a spinning fan in an air duct.

Died so many times there when I first played.

Anyone else have Spider-Man: Lethal Foes for the SNES? Mine's cart only but here's the box art:

In one of the wierdest moves in video game history a Spider-Man game gets released in Japan only. And the game is actually decent. I'm guessing it's got something to do with legeal rights and all the jazz.

It looks interesting, but the timed stages would get frustrating quickly for me. I don't have a clue why it wouldn't have been released in America - plenty of other Spider-Man games were - but I'm intrigued nonetheless. :)

I did think of two more: it's definitely not as rare or as unusual as some of the other titles here, but we've got the PC port of Typing of the Dead. I didn't think it was hard to find, but eBay and Amazon prices and the reaction I've gotten when I've mentioned it in casual conversation has led me to think otherwise.

The other one is Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine, for the N64. Again, not incredibly rare, but it was only available through the Lucasarts website and through Blockbuster. I've always had the impression that Clayfighters 63 1/3 Sculptor's Cut and Beast Wars Transmetals were rarer (most likely because they weren't sold online in addition to at Blockbuster), but I'm curious how many other CAGs have a copy of one of Indy's few console appearances.

So...how long before somebody tells me they've got these two? :D
