How well is ecost? I want to get it, but I don't know if its going to actually be $37...

They're pretty reliable in my experience and they have that free shipping too for over $25 so that's a good deal. I order mostly electronics and cameras from them so I don't know how well they handle pre-orders.

I've never heard of them.. but resellerratings has them poorly rated.

http://www.resellerratings.com/seller1932.html

5.67/10 over the last 6 months, 6.21/10 lifetime.

(Average reseller rates a 8.28/10 right now)

Oh yeah, they also offer free shipping.. but tack on a $4 handling fee after you place the order.

It is a very good price, I almost bit, but I already have 2 fully paid pre-orders, so I was able to stop myself. This is the best price I have seen outside of a trade-in deal. With tax and handling, it comes out to $2.55 less than I paid overstock, but that isn't worth the hassle of cancelling.

After reading through about half of the 20 pages of reviews on reseller ratings.. I'd avoid them like buyrite. Even the "very satisfied" reviews have something poor to say about them. One of the big complaints is they'll offer something cheap then cancel your order with no warning and have it back on the website at a higher price. I'd expect they'll do the same here.

very tempting but the "$4" handeling fee soured the deal...

I got it at Overstock with the 20% off deal a while back... I guess I'll sit on that.

The handling fee seems to vary. I ordered about $120 worth of stuff from them a couple of weeks ago and was only charged $2.

I've used eCost twice with zero problems.
