Maybe you should teach your damn kid not to jump around on the furniture.. then it wouldn't have been a problem in the first place.

I don't see why the kid's getting rewarded for this...although I do feel bad for the poor bastard, having to go through surgery and all that.

The surgeon was able to remove the tusk 'without surgery'. They just x-rayed him, pulled it out and stitched him up.

What a dumbass. Why would you take a 5 year old to that movie anyway? He couldnt possibly understand what was going on. He must have been the little shit that was crying when I saw the movie and the parents just sat there with him. People like that are worst than hitler.

You're absolutely right I know I'd rather have tens of millions dead than a hundred people slightly inconvenienced.
Do you know anything about Hitler? Or did you just like the name?

Why? I paid money to see a movie and I shouldnt have to hear some crying kid. At least have the common decency to leave the theater.

I thinkmost people would agree that crying children are horrendously irritating in a movie theatre... but saying they're worse than hitler is just fucking retarded.

And people who use "retarted" like that have no respect for the mentally challenged.

No, I do respect the mentally-handicapped.. however by using that phrase I'm implying you must be one of them. And its retarded not retarted.
I think my mileage will vary on this deal. :)

I can't believe that goddamn parent hasn't learned their lesson. Yeah, buy A FIVE YEAR old a videogame that will just prop-up spiderman on an even higher pedestal so he'll want to imitate more of his spidey-moves. It's people like this that shouldn't be legally alllowed to reproduce. Idiots.

Heh, to be retarted. Does that mean at one point you were a tart, become a good girl, then became a tart again?

Why should they leave the theater? Like you said about paying to see the movie, so did they.

Yes, but their child is ruining the movie for the majority of the rest of the people.
Hahaha: to the OP - nice YMMV but it's one deal I'll pass on.
To the rest discussing inconvenience in the theater. I cannot stand kids crying, people talking, or, and sorry for this, 'special' groups clinging spoons or other assorted sound making devices. It is rude and I don't care if you paid to get in. You paid for the right to see a movie, silently, without your cell phone on, not for the right to make sure I don't enjoy the movie. Seriously, I saw Riddick and this guy, a row below me, started commenting about EVERYTHING to his 2 friends next to him -at normal talking volume-. You're telling me this is acceptable? You're telling me the 20 or so people in his vacinity who looked at him, glared at him and pointed him out were in the wrong? I told him to shut it. Did no good (maybe I wasn't loud enough). I paid $10 for a movie, way too much for snacks and the last thing I want is some chode going Ebert on me. I'm a parent, even when my son was younger, we would not take him to movies where any commenting, etc (they don't always whisper) would detract from the movie. Kids movies, where it's pretty common? Sure, we were all over those. But PG13 and the like where the audience is older? Sorry, we'll rent, or wait until the movie dies down in popularity and the theaters aren't crowded. Having a kid does not give me the right to inconvenience others - simply because I would not want to be onconvenienced myself. Don't bring babies. That's just rude. If you must, sit on the end of a row, near the exits and EXIT when they pipe up. THAT'S COMMON COURTESY. It's bad enough to pull everyone out of the movie with an 8 month olds crying, but it's even worse when you're watching R movies where the last thing you expect is any kid crying. Remember, you are not the -only- person in the theater -so don't act like it. Simple as that.

This kid should probably be airlifted into a foster home. Obviously the grandparents shouldn't be allowed to care for children since they are seemingly unable to provide supervision and also are without the forethought to child-proof their home.
The parents should also be brought up on charges of reckless endangerment for leaving their child there in the first place. Were supposed to find this situation endearing and lament on the family's generosity towards their child ? They should be more generous with their time and attention instead of gifts. What better way to ensure more reckless behavior than by rewarding him for it. We treat dogs with more respect than this.
