Many games are unbalanced now days I can only think of VF 4 and SOUl CAL 2 being the most balanced any others?

You're not gonna find balance in any of the current fighting games. There are tiers for everything.
No way is SC II close to balanced. I think VF4 is closer.
Tekken is not balanced either. Way off.

I agree with MarkMan. Soul Caliber 2 is way not balanced, but VF4 is the most balanced 3D fighter I know.
Mark of The Wolves, Last Blade 2.
Rival Schools I wouldn't say is that balanced, I've seen some nasty things in that game with Roberto.

Ya Roberto and the principal with the sword...Hyu I think? They are some cheap asses, but all around it is fairly balanced compared to todays games.

are you guys saying soul calibur is not balanced for newbs, or for pros? because when my friends and I play (i would say newbs on the scale), we have great fun and challenging matches. and i hear when people go pro at this game, it only gets deeper and more rewarding. the only cheap tactic i've seen so far is doing the same move over and over, but countering that is easy.

Trust me I'm fairly good at SC2, but it's not the most balanced due to certain characters strengths and moves that can be exploited fairly easy. It's hard to make a balanced 3-D fighter and Soul Caliber 2 is fun, but I don't think it's close to being balanced.
Don't get confused between the game being easy for newb button mashers and the characters being balanced in moves and strength.

Hrmm. Bushido Blade? ;)
I think VF4 is pretty balanced. Tekken, on the other hand, is tipping scales in every direction.

I don't know about that, there's this real nasty guy in the game called Justice, plus several people have infinate combos like Axl.
