Now that The Collective's Buffy is finally backwards compatible, I'm wondering if there's anywhere I can actually buy a new copy from.

I'm out of ideas unfortunately. Reseller Ratings doesn't even list it. Or rather, it lists it, but it's actually incorrectly showing availability for the far worse Eurocom pseudo-sequel.

Try FYE or other overpriced B&M stores .

I saw an original Xbox San Andreas [hot coffee] at one not too long ago .

Thanks for the suggestion. I don't have any around me unfortunately. Their web site lists it as "backordered" (huh?) but Reseller Ratings ranks them horribly, so I'm not sure if I want to place an order for something that presumably they can't actually fill.

I thought that was an awesome game. I haven't seen any new copies of that game around in over a year. Is getting is used not an option for you?

Yeah me three. It figures I get rid of it super cheap waiting on XBOX to make it BC and bam what do they do? Make it BC.

Seems like it's going to be tough find a brand new version for cheap. They went on clearance for 4.99 awhile back. Pay hard or scout out used ones locally with the least amount of superficial scratches if any.
Not to get off topic: I bought Buffy the Vampire: Chaos Bleeds at Walmart online brand new to compliment the original. It might be the next BC.

Chaos Bleeds is already BC.

Though, frankly, the first game is MUCH better.

All this talk of how good the game is, and that its a brawler (mmm, brawler), I think I shall grab one from my local GameStops when the ice thaws.

Yeah, Chaos Bleeds was by Eurocom, and was...it wasn't bad (it's my favorite game by Eurocom, and good by their standards), but it wasn't even 1/2 as good as The Collective's game.

It is indeed basically a "scrolling fighter" (my new term since "side scrolling fighter" doesn't really work anymore :D )

The combat is deep and fun. Control when you first start seems lose and sort of slopping...and then within a short time it all of a sudden feels great. Somehow it felt like I was as powerful as I needed to be if I zoned into it-which is really like Buffy when you think about it (ie fighting Caleb in season 7).

IGN said something to the effect that it's one of or maybe the best scrolling game of it's type, and then if you're a fan of Buffy on top of that...

I bought an original X-Box just for this game back in 2003 :)

Eurocom made The World is Not Enough for the N64, which was ugly as crap, but was an excellent FPS that nobody played because it wasn't as lively as GE.

I just bought a used copy from GS for $7. It came complete and in good shape. I decided it wasn't worth the time or hassle of trying to find it new and it's fine for what it is.

try looking for it in the Trading forum. Lots of CAG's have this game I bet some of them have it new and unopened from a clearance sale a while back ago.

I'd just get it used though.. You can ask to check the disc first and you might come across another case to replace the sticky mess it comes with..

Why don't you buy it used, If there are scratches on it you can disc doctor it, And since it's on DVD the data layer is in the middle of the disc.

The only time that you will have to worry about used stuff is when buying Blu ray discs or PS3 games, Because with blu rays the data layer is on the bottom of the disc.
