You got "blurring" right. Hopefully they fix the glaring bugs and subpar gameplay of last years edition. If they do, count me in!

That's quite obvious the video quality not the actual game's blurriness.

Still won't be anywhere near MVP Baseball 2005's level.

It's the lighting and animations that make it look so good. I bought MLB 2k6 and enjoyed it but was admittedly a dissapointed in the graphics. This year's outing looks damn good.

Never played it. And to think i'm just being biased is crazy. Do I need to point out the fact that last years 2K baseball game (their first attempt as the Exclusive Third Party Publisher of MLB licensed games), on the 360, was probably the most bug riddled 360 game ever released, and the game wouldn't even boot up for most people. It's a pretty common opinion among sports gamers that the last 2 MLB MVP games whiped the frickin' floor with the 2K games.

It looks alright, I guess. I'd rather just get MVP 07 and maybe MLB 07 for the PS2 rather than the game that looks better. I'd hope it actually plays as good as it looks or it'll be another disappointing year for this game in the next-gen. The PS2 looks to have the better baseball games yet again.

I'll agree with saying MVP 05 was one of the greatest baseball games ever. The gameplay was so smooth...I loved it.

Gameplay is what REALLY matter in baseball games. Graphics are nice and all. Hopefully 2K bounces back with this one.

Yeah I almost picked up MLB2k6 last year till someone told me of all the bugs, that and it looked nowhere near like what they claimed it looked like. I'm sure this year they'll fix alot of stuff and it will look great.

Pending reviews I might pick this up come April.

Agreed.

When it first came on, I thought it was a video of a real game, and I was thinking "I guess they are going to show a real game first, and then compare the 360 version........holy shit. That is the 360 version."

Total e-boner.

The angle from behind the pitcher brought back memories of "Bases Loaded." Are they changing the pitching perspective, or am I just dreaming?

I've never played a baseball game where the fielding and pitching felt as good as it did in MVP05. You actually felt like you were the one pitching the game, and the smallest error could lead to a home run. It made a baseball game (normally kind of boring), into something quite intense and fun. I hate that it's dead.

Now, I once heard some of the MVP team went over to Visual Concepts to work on this year's edition. Any truth to that?

Wow, that looks pretty. If the hitting controls are good, wow, I think I'll be getting this game.

Yep, I think the lead designer or something went over to VC to help on the game. I'm assuming with 2K7 it started...right? Or will the changes be in 2K8?

Also, why are they releasing an ARCADE Slugfest type game.....FOCUS ON ONE GAME. Make baseball GOOD again.

So, why is there resistance to make MVP 05 or MVP 06 (NCAA) Backwards Compatible.

Now, I once heard some of the MVP team went over to Visual Concepts to work on this year's edition. Any truth to that?Ben Brinkman, who was the head cheese for the MVP games, jumped ship to work on the MLB2K games. In the January issue of Game Informer, he has a short blurb about the game, admitting how sucky it was last year. "We need to address gameplay and make it more interactive, realistic, and fun." And Visual Concepts has nothing to do with this game, Kush, one of the B teams, is developing it.

couldent fully tell from the quality, but the game needs more dirt. Also no matter how good they get that game to look, It will still be boreing. They need more sports games like nba jam.

Like ive stated in numerous threads for a long time and was stated in this thread earlier, the head of MVP is working on 2k7 and this has been known for quite some time. There was an ign interview on it, and the ideas he talked about had me very excited.

No, he's not. The creator's working on The Bigs, not 2K7. One of the gameplay guys is working on 2K7, but that's not exactly the head of MVP. Then again, it probably means that the 2K series will probably take even more ideas from the MVP games than it did before.

If what i said was a big fat lie, you wouldent have to defend the game, at least not with something so simplistic as "shutp". The game should beable to stand on its own marits if it is indeed a sure thing. It would seem you beleave that thier is truth to what i say though. pitty...

i still say the game needs more dirt.

While I agree that MVP 2005 is the best there has been, It is certainly not untouchable. Didn't the 2k people bring a guy from MVP 2005 for this years version? Probably should at least give it a shot before closing your mind.

I wish 2k would get away from all the cinematic junk and just get back to the good gameplay (like MVP 2005). I played it again the other day and it is SO smooth it's amazing.

Off topic....I was looking at getting MVP 2005 for my PC and it's a rare game now....selling for $30+ on EBAY...yikes. I was expecting like $10. Oh well, maybe I'll hook my XBOX up again since it's not BC yet.

Hopefully MLB 2K7 will make me think otherwise.

2K5 was a great game on Xbox. 2K6 sucked all the way around. It depends which vids/screens you see of 2K7. Some look fantastic, some look like 2K5. I'll reserve final judgement until I see a demo, because I'm still pissed about that piece of shit last year.

And IMO, 2K5 was better than MVP.
