have question about the lights on the micro

i turned on my micro and saw that the lights lit up the start and select button but not so much where the seleCT and the STart are....(the caps letters are the word that are lit up but not as much as the other ones....is this normal for all micros? anyone have pics of theres? mine's a the 20th anniversary edition

I don't have my cam with me atm but this is normal. It appears like that on both my Micro's (black & 20th ann.)
