So far so good; the show is a lot more upbeat this week. Nice to see the chemistry back to form, Cheapy/Wombat. :) And there is a definite improvement with the new mic, though it is a little bass-y, like Wombat said.

Also, I would certainly approve of receiving a free copy of Resistance: Fall of Man. :) (And I actually want to play it! ..at least, eventually!)

Warhawk on the original PSX was a great game. Lots of crap blowing up and an open environment.
The ship itself was a cross between a jet and a helicopter, But without helicopter blades. Kinda like a harrier, in that it was able to hover and do 180 turns. It was a VTOL craft: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VTOL

The levels were varied, and the amount of crap on screen was insane. One of the best levels was the one with all the aircraft carriers launching enemies at you. I was very disappointed to hear that development was stalling for the PS3 version.

I have to go against Mr Unoriginal's post and I say I'm for a longer CAGcast. I listen to the show at work each week. When I'm listening, time flies; no matter what Cheapy and Wombat are talking about. I don't listen to get the latest gaming news or deals, if thats all you're listening for, it's a lot faster just going to a few gaming sites and the CAG forums. I listen for the funny discussions and Cheapy and Wombat's take on gaming and other topics. If they streamlined the show and only talked about the best gaming deals and latest gaming headlines I would quickly lose interest. I could get all that information elsewhere; I want to know about life in Japan, Cheapy's obsession with Robocop, Wombat's constant struggle to stay employed and his ongoing quest to mouch free games. Whose with me?

I propose an 8 hour CAGcast posted 5 days a week Mon-Fri. My work week would be over in a flash.

PS. Warhawk was an original PlayStation title(my first Playstation game), that came out about the same time as Twisted Metal. Warhawk was not a helicopter in that game, it was a ship that could lift off the ground vertically and hover like a helicopter but it had no helicopter blades. It fired these badass swarm missiles and there was some hilarious FMV sequences. I was in love with that game when I first bought my Playstation. A less futuristic version of Warhawk made a cameo in Twisted Metal Black as a boss.

I agree with the others, longer is better, I've never understood why you guys, Wombat especially, want to cut it off so soon. I listen to it at work, too, and the more time I spend listening to the CAGCast and the less I spend thinking about how bored I am, the better. I've been a listener since episode #1, and the longer ones are definitely the best.

That said, I would be even happier with a a copy of SOCOM for the PSP...

Edit: As far as the PC response, I think a lot of it is that there have not been a lot of great games to come out over the past few years. This year is stacked through and through and probably by and large has the best lineup out of any gaming platform (though most still fit into the main genre's) and should bring about a somewhat of a revival. Also a lot of people are now getting LCD televisions which usually come with VGA or DVI hookups so that should help bring about the move to the living room and help people enjoy PC games on their big televisions.

This episode definitely had a couple LOL moments which were lacking from the last few CAGcasts. Wombat seemed more into this episode then he had been in awhile, so the witty banter was in full force. The stick your dick in it tagline was classic. I still can't tell whether you're serious or not Cheapy, but I do think Microsoft should consider doing a Japanese dating sim game. In any case, great show. More people should start listening and get hooked. Resistance is futile.

Woah woah! Slow down their CheapyD and Wombat. Whats with the excessive PS3 hating? Yea, it doesn't have to many games out right now. But atleast its offering more then what the Wii has (The Wii has. What? Zelda? Oh its on the Gamecube.).

No Friendslist/chat during games? Yea, the Wii doesn't have that either.

Are you saying that you wish Sony went Nintendo's Route? By offering a 250$ Cheaper PS3 without notable improved graphics, with the same notable downs of the PS3 interface with even more lack of content? Friend Codes? No HDTV support? A high cost for Downloadable content?

Give them some time. They have patched alot, and who knows, they might put in something compareable to 360's Live usage.

I think you guys are crazy when you say there is nothing coming out for the Wii during the next few months. SSX Blur is going to be great. Sonic has gotten nothing but positive previews. On an average MP8 should be fun with friends along with Wii Play.

I could definitely tell the difference in the audio quality with that new mic Cheapy, very nice. I don't know why, but this was one of my favorite CAGcasts. All around entertianing show. Oh yeah, should I be so lucky, I'd like Resistance.

Cheapy, you new mic sounds GREAT. I was a little worried for the past few episodes in November, you were sounding liek a fish in the sea. Also, I agree that PW is the best bathroom game ever. I play until my legs are numb.

Cheapy, while I usually respect the opinions expressed on the CAGCast, I have to completely disagree with your concerns about the Wii having a sparse release slate for 2007. I have total, unconditional faith that we will see a plentiful bounty of quality first-party and third-party games! (http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=117348) Where could you possibly be getting that notion from??

P.S. No way in Hell that we see both Metroid and Mario this Spring. The former, maybe (but probably more like June, which means July to me), the latter has been stated by Reggie himself, I believe, as a "Summer" release (which, of course, means October, which, of course, means Brawl in March...2008). Lap it up, loyalists!!

Great episode, it entertained me during my flight today (well, at least part of the way).

I disagree about the living room argument in regards to PC gaming. I have a wonderful gaming laptop connected to my HDTV at 1080p and can surf the net/play PC games from my couch. Wireless keyboard and mouse are the keys and it's a lot more comfortable than it sounds. You can also do this with a home theater PC, which is probably the more popular alternative.

I know this late, but I forgot to post in the last CAGcast thread.

I fully agree with you guys about Zelda being kind of overrated. When you look at how little the games have changed since OoT, it's obvious that it's got the fan service rating. It's the same thing with Final Fantasy, and a few other games though.

Great CAGcst guys, and looking at Cheapy's new mic makes me with I had a reason to buy a fancy smancy microphone!

I'm probably miles too late for this, but I can't keep up with the podcast right when it comes out! I'd be interested in the copy of Killzone: Liberation for the PSP. Already played through Resistance, which I thoroughly enjoyed--I'm not sure why so many people are negative about it.
