anyone else waiting for the psthree?

i never owned a playstation....but i have a psone.
i never owned a ps2...but i recently bought a pstwo.

Sony seems to get things just right with their hardware on its smaller iteration, both mechanically and aesthetically. naturally, the price drop helps as well. i'm not a big fan of the ps3 look and its a bit more than i'd like to spend on a game system, at least until i decide whether i want to go the route of blu ray or hddvd, but that's neither here nor there. I own an xbox 360 premium (that i got for $300, thanks to CAG) and have been almost completely pleased with the games and the system (except that i recently had to send it away for repair, under warranty at least). i love the ps1 on psp idea, although i don't own a psp. but, before i ramble too much, here's the thing: there's just nothing on the ps3 that looks or seems to play better than the 360. so i'm waiting for the psthree. anyone else? or does any ps3 owner disagree with me?

that's why i said seems and asked if anyone disagrees. if you have a ps3 or have played games and disagree please state your case. my opinion is based on what i've seen and read. i do not have a ps3 so i can't give a comprehensive comparison. that's why i asked for the opinion of my fellow CAGamers.

PS2 will take you about....7 years to finish all the AAA titles. So yea, stop wasting money on next gen.

my opinion is based on what i've seen and read.You've lost any respect from me after making that comment. Next time, do a grammar check before making another post for I can understand what you're saying.

If the price is too high for you, just wait for a price drop. I felt PlayStation 3 was worth $500 (although I own a 360); therefore, I ended up buying it (best purchase of 2006, or many second best after PSP).

I agree a psthree is possible you're talking 4 or 5 years down the road. The ps3 is not worth a purchase now, but I must admit the Motorstorm game got me pretty excited for a ps3

Between now and the time a PSthree comes out, you will have missed out on a lot of good titles. I myself will buy a ps3 sometime in 2007 either sometime this spring or I'll wait till the fall when more top titles are out.

All ps3 has now is Resistance, and well if you have a 360 just stick with gears of war, lost planet, call of duty 3 and 2, or rainbow six vegas as they are all better games in the shooter department.

It's a fact that you'll get a better machine and price by waiting, but you'll miss out on 3-4 years (at least) of playing. Not worth it to me.

I used to want one, but decided to wait. If the PS3 dominates like the PS2 did, I will probably get one. I have a feeling that in 2-3 years, PC gaming will look so much better than gaming on consoles that I will just forget about it. I would much rather spend $700 on a PC upgrade than $600 on a console (or even $400 if the price drops). I prefer PC gaming anyhow.

Sony is just killing themselves with the high price.
