I wouldn't hold my breath, Valve are notorious for foolishly killing ports at the last minute (ie Mac HL).

The February Game Informer Magazine had an interview with the creator of Half Life and Half Life 2 and he had nothing but great things to say about the Wii, especially compared with the PS3. Of course, this doesn't necessarily mean a version of the game is coming, but at least the possibility is there.

"own" ;)

But I would love to see HL2 on the Wii. Graphically, it could probably hold its own (better scaling than Far Cry, please), and the Gravity Gun with the Wiimote would be fantastic.

Half-Life 2 is just a weird game. I had no idea what in the heck was going on from the first second of the game to the end of the ending, but I had a lot of fun doing it. ;)

Yeah exactly, that's another example.

seconded. the wii doesn't need even more ports of games that have been out for years.

Didn't the Xbox version have some problems running on the Xbox? If so, how would a Wii version do any better considering the underwhelming ports that the Wii has already gotten?

Never heard that, and never had any problem playing it on my original Xbox or my 360.

I think the problems he is referring to is lots of load times. I haven't played it but I have heard stuff about that.

it has an awful frame rate, small draw distance, and tons of loading. kinda like they just barely squeezed it on there.

hl2 definitely requires a lot of processing power on the pc. it looks gorgeous but you'd better have a killer system to make it so. with a not "killer" system it'll still look good and I do tend to wonder if a Wii could handle it. They would have to scale the graphics down i think.
