I think the VC controller is ok...maybe a little on the small side but I really wish it was wireless. I know its cheaper due to it being connected to the Wii remote but it just makes it cumbersome. Anyone else want a stand alone version?

nah, it's enough wireless for me. I'd take the money savings over not having to have the remote sit next to me any day.

No. Just something else to drain batteries and I don't mind it being teethered to Wiimote.

IMO the Wavebird isn't an option. The d-pad is far too small (unless you have little girl hands/thumbs) and the button layout sucks for most games.

Love the wavebird...but the d-pad is positoned shitty and too small.

I was thinking about this the other day too. At often as I've been using it, the concept of plugging it into the wiimote has always been a bit awkward to me. It would be great if N put out a "Wavebird 2" running on bluetooth wth the repositioned analogs of the VC controller and also rumble.

That's so weird...I have huge hands and have had absolutely no problems using the Wavebird on Super CV4 and R-Type III. Can't see using it for SF2, but other than that, the WB has been fine for VC gaming.

I think it's a bigger deal with the Nunchuck than the Classic Controller, because you are using it while swinging your arms around and whatnot and that cable can really get in the way. With the VC, you don't need to move the controller around so it doesn't really matter. Cable shouldn't come out of the front, though.
